Hey. So I'm looking for a romance manga, where the girl falls in love with some guy and he's just great and she always sees him as her support etc. etc. but then she discovers that he's actually not as fine as he pretends to be and that he's actually been in/currently is in some serious situation (so abuse, threats, illegal activity, etc) in which he is victim.
She should end up having to save him from his situation, or help him, or protect him or something.
I don't know if this sort of thing exists, but I imagine it does. Any ideas you've got on mangas like this (or ones that are close), please share with me!

Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari - Fits perfectly. Girl saves guy, guy saves girl. Don't want to go into details, but girl with no direction in life falls in love with a guy
Shikeisyu 042 - Not love, i don't think. A blind girl befriends the gardener of the school. She does not know he is a former death row inmate released as part of an experiment. She saves him from self destructing several times, and he keeps her company.
Fruits Basket - Three guys allow Tohru to freeload in their house after she is kicked out of her own house. She discovers that the people she previously thought were normal are cursed and have a lot of family secrets. She figuratively saves them?
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan - Classic guy saves girl, girl saves guy story. About a suicidal young lady that forms a deep bond with a death row inmate. However, there are no illusions, she knows he's not ok.
Nabari no Ou - Might not be what you want. First of all its shonen-ai, second of all, the guy is an antagonist. Main character forms a deep friendship with a cold guy who can kill anything he touches. Discovers how terrified/fragile he is and resolves to save him.
Less what you would want:
"Bungaku Shoujo" to Shi ni Tagari no Douke - I think this might have what you're asking for. It's been such a long time though, i don't remember.
Shut Hell - Male lead helps her regain her humanity after a traumatic and dehumanizing experience, she discovers that he is in trouble and literally saves him. There's an age gap though, and the male lead is very young.
