What is your political standpoint..? I chose for Democrat.. Since I'm someone who cares for the 'individual'.. And I'm not to keen on the idea of "Let's do this for the good of the country.. but screw those few who are going to have a hard time because of our decision.."

Right-wing people: Are usually people with power and money.. Being a republican means being conservative.. which means that they want everything to stay like it is.. Because they're afraid to lose their wealth and power, if they're going to make changes..

Which is what the Democrats support for.. They're progressive.. They stand up for the little man.. They want to change things, so that everyone is equal..

Then of course there are extremes, which applies to both directions.. For left, it's Communism, and for right it's Fascism..

Discuss..

im in between (on my country standarts) cuz i cant seem to agree completely with one side only.

the ppl i hang out with r mostly from the left, but my family is from the right, and they do their best to pull me to their side. every time i disagree about something i get lectured...

I can't vote as you have not included the Green party in your poll.

Just pick left, since the Green Party is at the left side.. It's a little 'lefter' than Democrats, but not as 'lefty' as Communism..

Democrat - but I do have republican views. Basically, I'm a moderate who leans left. Most Americans are Democrat or Republican. I'm surprised that people have voted for the extremes, but then, I'm American, so...

That would be me, maybe you heard the situation in Rio de Janeiro some time ago... tha has got to stop! If the same govermant continues with the same things it will not, so my thoughs are really extreme. By the way there is a midle-left that suits me (reformism), but just talking will do no good at this rate.

I don't get why some don't vote in America.. Here, in Belgium, everyone has to vote from age 18..

What I wonder about history is how the Democrats ended up being liberals, while the Republicans as conservatives. When there was civil war, Republicans were the ones favoring abolishment of slavery, while the Democrats were of the Southern slave-holding states.

It's only because things got reworked that Democrats nowadays represent something different.

One thing I wish people would remember and recognize is that Abraham Lincoln was Republican.
