A

My family can be annoying sometimes, but they never do anything to make me hate them. I always get picked on by my parents whenever my brothers mess up since I'm the oldest, but they only do that because they care about me, I by no means see it in a bad way. There are noisy, but I stay in my room most of the day so it doesn't usually get to me, whenever I have an exam, they will stay quiet.

Though, I wish my parents would buy stuff for me, that would be awesome, but hey, you can't have everything. bigrazz

no not really. I mean there are times when you want to punch them and there are times when you want to hug them. I mean they're family, I can't hate them how hard I try...

C. I wish they were not in my life. My dad is borderline abusive and won't listen to reason, he thinks that he is right all the time and gets angry if you argue with him. He's hit/kicked me a few times for no reason and he calls me names. and my mom thinks she is really attractive when she is definitely not and wears...clothing with very questionable fashion sense. I'm ashamed to be seen with her sometimes when her bra is very clearly showing through her shirt and she wears neon silver harem pants etc...They fight all the time over nothing and I can't wait to leave...
I just can't deal with it anymore..:/

@Mixxi Why won't you move out from the house and live by your own?

B

For some reason every single person in my family is amazingly stubborn, so when we reach a topic where there's no majority winner but each has his/her own opinion, we fight like our life depends on it. Then again, we get over it by the next day so it's cool. biggrin

I love my family but I'm not like any of them either. I'm at a point in my life that I can accept myself and who I am without thinking I have to be like someone else. I don't live at home - haven't for years - and I'm really happy about it. I used to detest being around most of my family because of how uncomfortable it made me. I never hated them. That's not me. But the way I THINK is so different from the rest of them that I could never be comfortable around them. Many things about them annoyed me and I didn't know how to deal with it. I never said anything and I tried to hide it behind polite smiles and forced pleasantry, but they knew. No matter how nice I tried to be, the sincerity wasn't there. It's better now because I don't live near them (I've been on my own for many years) and I don't have regular contact with them so I'm not in any of their little battles and I don't have to witness any of their squabbles from the side-lines. This makes it much easier for me to be genuinely pleasant and appreciate their company when I'm with them which makes them happier and makes me more relaxed. Definitely a win/win situation!

It's a love-hate relationship. I love 'em, and respect 'em, for everything they have done for me, but at the same time, they can be be so gods be damned irritating!.

Around here, sons are supposed to treat parents like gods (honestly, it's in the Vedas. Or in Geeta. I forget which bigrazz ). Me, I can never bow my head when I know it should not be bowed. I have too much pride. I cannot say I'm wrong when I know I'm right. So, it's like War of the Titans around here.

Edit - A & B, then dead

Lol what a thread. Sometimes I think ppl just don't understand how good they have it in their lives. Some people don't appreciate shit and that annoys me as hell. Of course I love my family, who doesn't?

The word "hate" is a little bit much, ain't it?

Different circumstances breed different emotions.

Just because your family cares about you, doesn't mean that applies to everybody.

I do not hate my family.

I do not hate my family.
It might be a little hard to get along with each other at times, but to really say 'hate', no. Dislike? yeah, sometimes. But that's just me being a typical 16 year old girl.I'm extremely hard to deal with at times.

But all in all, I can't imagine how it would be like if even one of them was gone.

@Tjuren for example i hated my family, they made my life to a living hell, but a long time ago i stopped to feel something for them. Nor hate or love or anything else, they are just like other people.

i have a very small family, only my mother, uncle, aunt and a cousin remaining.
i do love them but i dont live with them anymore. so i guess i take A.

i'm shocked to see that many voted C. i thought serious family problems are only found in a few cases or in written stories, but it seems quite a lot people have more then just the occasional fight with their family.

if i were in OPs shoes i would leave as fast as possible, the moment i hit 18 and get out of school, find a nice small apartment and a job that isnt in the way of studing.

Who would have been killed? And what's illegal (not the word, mind you)?
