...Lol. They'd probably kick my ass for this lame request, but I'm looking for hot martial artists! In live-action media, I mean, not in manga or anime. Which means action movies or TV shows concentrating on the martial arts, with incredibly skilled, handsome and/or beautiful martial artists! Sequences of fighting like poetry... Almost lyrical in their grace... *sighs happily*

Male or female doesn't matter. Just - beautiful faces, beautiful bodies, beautiful form in the midst of combat.

I don't want a corny/ridiculous plot, either. The story has to be good, the actors brilliant and the characterization deep. They all have to be worthy of the gorgeous fight scenes.

Preferably little or no romance, except as a backstory. I want the focus to be on something other than romance - like war or politics or martial training or, heck, even spiritual enlightenment.

Mature/sexual content is okay, but no gratuitous/ecchi fanservice.

Suggestions, please? Thanks in advance! biggrin

It's been a while, but I know that this French beauty is kick @$%...

I haven't seen the current tv-show spin off, but Maggie Q looks pretty hot as Nikita.

I can't think of any more... And I do apologize if any of the movies don't have excellent characterization...

I realize this isn't quite what you're asking for, but if you'd consider watching actual fights, GSP will be competing this coming Saturday. Most of the female mma fans I know seem particularly to enjoy watching his fights. (I'm partial to Marloes Coenen, myself, but her last fight went rather poorly for her, so she's probably not going to fight for a while yet...).

i am impressed with ip man, the first, not the sequel.
my local has a good film called merantau. not sure if you can find it, much less understand it.

I like Hero and Ashes of Time. They are heavy on romance, but not stupid romance.

Haven't actually seen the movie yet, but "Ninja Assassin" featuring the Korean singer/dancer/celebrity Rain came out a few years ago here, and I suppose he's quite good-looking. bigrazz
