This game is based on a novel by Andrzej Sapkowski. Very good novel.
If you like the game, try the novel too someday. I think it was translated to quite a few languages...

And I'm still wondering why they made one of the Geralt's swords a claymore... *sigh*

Is it translated to English, though? I think it's only in German, Hungarian and French, hmm...

Haven't tried the game yet, but I think I know what I want for Christmas biggrin If it follows the books, then it's definitely enjoyable.

the game is quite good however I still get annoyed with the loading time, and autosave feature every time I leave a building, otherwise it's pretty decent single player rpg, nice graphic and I like the background music.

The Witcher ranks as one of the best rpgs I have ever played. Everything in it is top-notch. Only problem is you need a pretty good machine and the load times can be killer. If you can stick it out, the payoff is one hell of an end-game.

Hmm loading times sucks indeed, hope they fix it with the next patch. But the storyline and the choices you can make provide a good rpg

Why?
Claymore is a type of sword so why
couldn't it be used? <_<

Sorry for taking so long to reply!
Geralt originally was supposed to use one sword ( as in the novel ). Besides, a claymore simply doesn't match his fighting style.

Me has a question -> does Geralt have the ability to use some simple magic in the game?

All my favourite pc zines are now stuffed with guides and articles, all about this game dead irritating.

Didn't buy the game so far, heard it's ok, not best or anything but good enough. The problem is atm my PC sucks ( guess it's a shame as i'm living in Polandbigrazz ).

Anyway i don't understand what you mean by

Geralt had 2 swords in the novel. First, for humans, a meteor steel one ( kinda crazy idea honestlybiggrin ) and also one for monsters which was made of silver.

About claymore it's not rly cause of his fighting style, as far as i'm concerned witcher's swords were some unique concept ( not that it was stated somewhere, but i think it was said they made them, well you can tell just cause of material used ). Anyway i don't think it's rly a problem. For instance, Geralt used few swords throughtout the novel, like one he received from that dwarf guy.

Well, guess now everyone can tell i'm the novel's freak xD

Yeah, but he didn't run around with both of them on his back...the belt he used to carry the sword was for only one of them, as far as I remember. PÅ‚otka usually carried the one he wasn't using at the time or he was simply leaving it at the place he was currently staying in.

A claymore is a good sword to cut, but not to push deeper in the wound. And a witcherman's job requires a lot of slashing and digging for vulnerable places laugh

I'm not so sure about the magic stuff. I guess I need to buy the game eventually, lol.

@mams - meanie.. bigrazz
@bytheway - fellow polish fantasy fan, huh? if you're staying here for long, introduce yourself

I don't rly have time for posting much on forums so i'll post only by time to time, introducing myself is kinda pointless here i guessbigrazz

Regarding swords, i didn't know in game he was walking with both of them on his back. In this case you're right, he never wore 2 swords at a time ( heck he didn't wore any swords quite oftenbiggrin ).

Something i heard and kinda surprised me was that, you can't rly jump in the game?

Oh and does anyone know if Sapkowski's stuff is translated into English? i'm looking for some reading material.
