Watch this anime some years age where they hade all the typical super robot cliches without letting it ruin the the anime. the protagonist was this big musculer guy who i thnk was supose to embody all thet is manly or something who fought giant monsters along side his wife.

Would also be intresting to se what other super robot animes there are that they have managed to do somthing intresting with the old cliches.

Giant? Gigantic? You went for something in-between.

I'm not sure what you're looking for, exactly. The Big O was a fairly interesting giant robot anime with a retro feel. If you just want some good mecha, Gundam SEED is pretty good.

No just a regular old misspelling and i actually meant super robot =P

I agree Seed is a good anime but it fals under the real robot genre, Big O is also good but not quite what im looking for.

Perhaps i should have said a modern take on old school super robot animes.
