I've just read Jisatsutou which I found quite interesting, I am looking for something along the lines of this with survival and or stranded somewhere as the themes, any recommendations appreciated.

I have no idea what that manga is about but have you looked at the Stranded, Survival, and Deserted Island categories?

My personal recommendation from the ones I saw listed within those categories would be 7seeds. It's listed as josei but frequently reads like a seinen and I really can't recommend it enough.
