Hmm, forgive me if here is the wrong place for posting this, as I couldn't find a place in the forums for light novels...

Well to the important part, I'd like to bring this epic story to your attention. For a very long time there were no updates to this, however in the last couple of month the English translation is up to chapter 3 of the 2nd volume.

Yet still, for some reason it's page isn't updated: http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=59588

I tried to update it but there was no response no matter how many time I tried. So now that Odd Squad Scans officially picked up this project, I would really like it if the info page could be updated.

For those who don't know what this story is about, I'll try to summarize it. But, as I'm not good with words I hope you will try reading it by yourself before dismissing it.
Moonlight sculptor is a story about Weed, Harn Lee's avatar in an Mmorpg called Royal Road.
The story is similar to 1/2 Prince, but while in 1/2 Prince the main plot revolves around the romantic parts, in Moonlight Sculptor the main part is about the mmorpg aspects.

Similar to Yureka but with less conspiracy theories, better than the Hack series as there are no people going into comas and saving the world business. Moonlight Sculptor focuses on the worlds best mmorpg and all of the gaming aspects, from leveling up and applying the stats to large scale continent battles. Hundreds of skill descriptions and thousands of quests are told in the 31 volumes that are currently out. This incredibly amazing story's end is still very, very far.

For all who play or have played mmorpg's, and even for those who don't like mmorpg's at all, Moonlight Sculptor is worth checking out. Especially since, and you might not believe me but this is the truth, in 15-20 years from now this will be our reality!!!

Try reading it, it will be worth your time.

Based on my knowledge, which is limited, I'm fairly certain that they won't accept the official translations as an update to the series. However, they will only accept things that other people translated. Does that answer your question?

I think some of the main problems they have with translating the series is the lack of translators, since they mainly deal with Chinese and not Korean. Another factor I feel is that it takes a lot of time for the people they do have available to go about translating/checking/proofreading everything. The chapters are rather long, usually much longer than light novels or manga, so it takes time.
However, for your immediate viewing needs, there is a site where various users from the Jcafe forum post random translations and summaries of chapters that are available to read. I'll enclose it in a spoiler.

EDIT: A new site was made for chapters of the novel.

There is someone who I would consider a heroine and main love interest, but the story is not really focused on that and it develops slowly. There are a number of characters interested in Weed, but he is not interested in love at all, pretty much only money. He is rather opposed to having a girlfriend because its a waste of time and money (especially money). Even with him like that he does get into some nice situations.

well if you are okay with
glorified beauty who doesn't talk one bit, the usual boring, traumatized, cold blabla type of female lead
a male lead who only sees the bad things in people and is always thinking she has evil thoughts
another female who is a famous actress and also interested in him but completely oblivious to his bad personality traits
one decent female, with a compelling character, who likes him, and he likes her but they don't say it and end up doing nothing but abandoning their love for seemingly no reason

then this is your novel!

honestly if you want romance, run. There are a lot of things this novel does right, romance is not one of those... I'd even say this is by far the worst part of the story, I find even the geomchi's nonsense less obnoxious.

ok, the romance is there.... things are progressing well in that regards. The protagonist weed dosnt hold much romantic feelings, and there are like 4 girls who love him... You could say that he is the type that need to be told things directly and head on.

After reading the first 20 volumes, what i can say is that i really enjoyed the whole thing... its been a while since i laughted and got so exited
