I'm looking for a manga/manhwa that actually has a lead male that is not a wuss. All the series I've been reading/catching up on recently all seem to have a wussy male lead.

So I'm looking for something with fantasy (lead discovers magical powers, lead is thrown into a different world/dimension where he has some kind of super power, etc), with a male lead, some romance. Seinen/shounen, no yaoi :S

I've enjoyed most (read, all, uxu, maian, onihime, aflame, freezing, kurokami, rebirth, zero) of Im Dal Young's works. But the male protagonists are too submissive/weak. But I've also enjoyed alot of other artist, but this is the one that is recurring in my reading list (that I have noticed).

Cage of Eden is pretty good. The main character didn't started out badass, he's good now. bigrazz Iris Zero also has a good main character. He did initially seems like a wussy, but he turned not bad at all.

Well this wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I first posted, but Iris Zero is pretty interesting, more investigative than fantasy, but enjoyable. I've read up on Cage of Eden (till ch.60) a while back, was fun but I usually then to let ongoing mangas stack up/end before catching up, unless I have an urge for the genre. Same thing goes for Ubel Blatt, and Id.

Noblesse looks interesting, but me and Web Comics still haven't broken the glass, but the story looks interesting.

When reading Iris Zero, I stumbled on Mouryou no Yurikago, which is sorta like High School of the Dead, pretty fun.

Keep the suggestions up, in the meantime I'll go read Dragon Head.

Maybe Hajimete no Aku? The lead is pretty strong and starts improving as you go along, but his position isn't on the usual side in terms of shounen...... but its still a good read! Aphorism is pretty good, but it's still relatively new. Baka to Test to Shokanjuu is also pretty interesting, but the lead is not the strongest person ever, although he does have his shining moments. (Sort of) laugh
But if you can handle horror, THE BEST FIT FOR THIS would be the Umineko no Naku koro ni series, hands down. It's absolutely perfect and I fell in love with this series. Happy manga-hunting! biggrin

It's not. It's one of those shounens that shoujo readers will also enjoy but it's definitely not shoujo. Like One Piece (although that's a terrible comparison because One Piece is one of my top mangas of alltime). I'll also 3rd this recommendation.

I looked through you're reading/complete lists and all the other mangas I would have suggested are already on there

I know how you feel about the, far to common, weak / loser male leads. So here is a list of series with some of the most badass male protagonists I can think of at the moment:

-First on my list is BERSERK!!!!!! (seriously it's the best. Guts is the most indisputably awesome protagonist in any manga. If you aren't reading it, do yourself a favor and start.)

- Cavalier of the Abyss (and it's prequel Immortal Regios)
- The Red Soul (somewhat new, but it has been good so far and fits all the criteria you listed)
- Ares
- Witch Hunter (Main character is a badass, money-grubbing, magical, gunslinger.... need I say anything else?)
- Wolf Guy - Ookami no Monshou
- Witchcraft Troops (also pretty new, but its not bad so far)
- Trinity Seven: 7-Nin no Mahoutsukai (newest series on my list. But it is one of a very rare breed of harem manga, where the male lead actually deserves a harem; and isn't afraid to remind people of that.)

If your alright with non-fantasy series:

- Triage X
- Historie
- Kyou kara Ore wa!! (You might not like the art at first, but it's funny and Mitsuhashi is a "cheapskate" ass-kicking machine.)
- Dogs: Bullets & Carnage

If I remember any others I'll update.
