Houshin Engi and Rave[/url I've already read and dropped halfway. [url=http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=2600] Alive... I might try it if I have no other choice, but I'd like to avoid it.

You should really pick up Rave again, starts out a little weird and has goofy moments but it's actually a great read and a great story.

I'll try Rave, too, but later. I'm kinda in the mood for a more over powers.

These, I have read. Thanks for the rest.

You've read Ga-Rei? Read it again ;D (An all-time favorite.)
As for other completed series:
These you have probably read: Fullmetal Alchemist, Elfen Lied.
These aren't as well-known:
Superior, Vampire Juujikai, Kurohime (<-- An all-time favorite).

Sorry for the late reply bigrazz

Yes, I do need more suggestions. I've finished Shin Angyo Onshi and Alive(which is surprisingly similar to ARMS). I have also completed Fullmetal Alchemist, Mai-Hime, Immortal Regis, The Breaker(my all time favourite, if the sequel ends well) and Superior, and given up on ever making sense of Kurohime bigrazz

Anything that involves the male lead overpowering the antagonists through intelligence, sheer power, or even sheer strength, is welcome.

3x3 Eyes and Shingetsutan Tsukihime on your waiting list have been finished scanning and I think they fit
Also manga from ANZAI Nobuyuki like Flame of Recca, MAR, and MiXiM 11

I'm reading Shingetsutan Tsukihime currently, and will read 3x3 Eyes soon...I think.
I've already read Flame of Recca. How are the endings of the other two series you mentioned?
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Does the guy go back to world and leave Baboo behind? Is the rushed ending of the second one bad?

the rushed ending of MiXiM is not too bad it wraps up pretty well just too quick and a little anticlimatic

I'm not sexist at all. In fact, I prefer series with independent females. Kurohime, though, takes too many turns that I do not like.

@Restart: I've read Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro too.

Maybe Inugami? I'm going to be reading Normal City soon... not sure if it's up your alley too but I heard many people loved it and it was considered the mangaka's greatest work.

Hoshi no Samidare?

Kekkaishi (never finished it though... so not sure how it ends)

Houshin Engi Some people really liked it though I didn't(found it too contrived and draggy... by that time, I was super tired of most shounen). However, it might be up to your tastes or not.

Narutaru(I haven't read this one yet 'cos it was heavily butchered by the English publishers... GWR released a new version that restored the translations.) I was going to suggest Bokurano by the same mangaka but then I realised there aren't any super powers. =P

Vampire Juujikai More like magical abilities for the protagonist who's a vampire.

Banya Uhmmmm I can't remember why I didn't like it but I think quite a few did. smile
