I like Kotetsu -- especially 'cause it's interesting to see a shounen anime with a protagonist who has a kid and is/was married and all that. There are way too many "ordinary high-schoolboy introduced to a totally new power by his girlfriend-to-be" kind of plots out there.

But...am I the only one who likes Barnaby (pre-timeskip more than later on, but he's tolerable later as well)? I mean, I saw this forum where everyone's like; "If Barnaby didn't exist, we'd like this show better"
I personally think they're just sore because the pretty buxom scantily-clad high-schoolgirl (ie: Blue Rose) isn't getting much screen-time. Or maybe it's just the typical "glasses guys are lame and emo" attitude. Not that Barnaby isn't emo (not by a long shot ^^), but his angsting isn't insufferable, at least for me.

I guess I'm alone in liking both MCs equally?

Well, looks like there is a season 2 bigrazz It starts in November.

I don't want any romance in this show either dead

I think the people who made this show were aiming to make it like american superheroes to appeal to american audiences, that's why it lacks creativity lol (no offense to americans) but they were at least making fun of it at the same time, and i'm always up for satire. As for whether or not the second half /later episodes are more intelligent; i dunno. so far there hasn't been anymore bad guys except for the main bad guy of this show, and they haven't taken him down yet. Kotetsu is the best part of the show, I agree. It's nice to have an kind-hearted dad as a hero for a change instead of some young punk with teen angst or some chick with big boobs and an impossible waste line.

After the Jake episodes Burnaby did change his attitude, but I think he always liked Kotetsu but was too jaded to show it. Revenge and all that. Poor Bunny was just an angry and lonely boy. After he didn't have to worry about revenge anymore, he opened up and showed his feelings more. So, I didn't really think it was too weird for him to change like that. Also there was a several month time skip, so it wasn't like he changed over night.

The bit with the advertisents and the pepsi commercial and stuff was done for 2 reasons: 1) In case you didn't notice, they don't have a a segment thanking the sponsers of a show like most animes do (usually after the opening song) and I didn't see them in the credits either, so they paid tribute buy putting the sponsers' name on the hero's suits. Which also play into number 2. 2) It's part of the show, as mentioned before. The whole show is about "Hero TV" live broadcasting and stuff. It's an anime about a TV network, not just about the heroes. I think one of the reasons why some people find this show lame or boring, is because they forget the show is actually about a show and they just think it's another superhero anime.

and perhaps they won't make a second season. they have enough rope to make one but the first season can stand alone well enough, so who knows.

I like Burnaby . He's reminds me of a cute little boy laugh And i'm glad this anime only has one fan-service girl. that's enough imo.

Ha ha, I just watched 3 eps today. At first I was put off by some of the animation techniques (it looked a bit CG-ish here and there) and the whole plot/idea really isn't my thing but some of the humor peeked through and for now I'm willing to watch a few more epssmile. Also, yes I very much like Kotetsu and quite randomly Barnaby's seiyuu... I can't tell if I've heard him before but he has a cool voice (is that a reason to watch?).

I love how tiger and bunny-chan interacted! I wonder if they'll add a second season.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Being that he lost much of his power what will happen, not to mention that evil "O" group still exists.
I just really wanna see more! Very funny

Well...I finished it just now. Plot-wise I'd give it a maximum of 4/10 (leaning more towards 3/10, really), but random-mindless-entertainment-wise it's a definite 8/10.

Where did you get that information from? I don't think a sequel's been planned at this point. People are just jumping the gun because of that bit of Japanese text at the very end of ep. 25, right? That's supposed to be an advertisement for some other event -- not a sequel of the show.

Yeah, I find it rather sweet how incredibly devoted he is to his parents. Not something an ordinary 25-year-old would ever bother with, since at that age people're too busy worrying about starting their own families (something Barnaby hasn't given the slightest thought to, as far as I can see -- he ignores the two pretty girls right under his nose completely and that just adds to his childlike charm).

And LOL the "one fan-service girl". I don't like Blue Rose -- she's such a typical tsundere action heroine. I'm really getting tired of that character archetype; it's being done to death and back in practically every shounen manga ever written. Why can't they have more girls like Pao Lin (Dragon Kid) around (and give 'em more screen-time)? She might not be as 'hot' but she's a total cutey!

Barnaby's seiyuu is a pretty popular guy, I think. I've heard that he voices Bleach's Ichigo as well. And I dunno about it being a reason to watch, but Barnaby's the secondary protagonist and so gets in on a lot of dialogue -- just in case you were wondering ^_^

hope there is a second season
no romance as well, since that'll bring the quality of the plot down
I didn't really like the ending though
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Yuri/ouroboros are not fully explained at the end. that was a minus

i dislike the ending.
Kotetsu should no doubt have been retired and have another character replace him in the second season. (thinking some higher-ups making the creators put him back in)

but yes, i ADOREE Kotetsu. I think Blue Rose's crush on him was hilarious and adorable, but anything heavier than that is a no for me.

I finished the anime and surprisingly not for the sieyuubigrazz Though when I found out it was Ichigo's... I could have kicked myself, but it's been a loooooooonnnnngggg time since I actually watched Bleach with any heart in it.

I loved Fire Emblem and Kotetsu best, now that said there were several downsides, mostly little possible plot point and things that seemed important but were never fully adressed or fleshed out (
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Sky High's love life? Did he forget her?)
but it was overall enjoyable, despite the mech-ish battles... I get bored so easily with those. Not mind-blowing but good fun.
