Hi all i'm looking for a manga/anime with a similar theme to Shiki. That is a person/people turning into another state of being against there will where the body changes but the mind remains mostly intact.

Fruits Basket (I haven't read Shiki before though, and from just a quick glance at the overview I'd say it's not very similar... But there is transformations against will? Hahha sorry...)

Uzumaki has some pretty intense body horror, if that's what you're after...
At a small stretch, Alien Nine, which has the whole puberty-is-becomming-one-with-a-symbiotic-alien metaphor going.
Animewise - maybe Red Garden? Wasn't too bad, but I never got around to finishing it.

none of those are actually fulfill what i'm looking for i guess shiki s just unique in that aspect then
