*intriguing plot
*interesting well developed characters
*Long story(the story should stay interesting)
*When the story ends you keep wanting for more
*I do prefer the action/adventure/fantasy genre
*Deep and explores human emotions
*EPIC EPIC
*I'd like it if the manga was sad and tragic

Examples of mangas who contain these points
* Basara
* Full Metal Alchemist
* Shingeki no Kyojin
* Please save my earth


So since I am so thirsty for something good, I want now both anime and manga suggestions

It's not that long (60 chapters), but I'd still recommend it: Hoshi no Samidare

I second Hoshi no Samidare. At first it doesn't seem like it'll make you think, but the entire thing ties up into something beautiful that my mind muddled over for a few days.

I can't find anything else that I've read that fulfills your request. XD I read too much cheesy shoujo.

Alive: the final evolution , it has everything you wanted in a manga, even after finishing it, I still reflect on this manga. Made me even cry at a point, all in all, I recommend this manga
