I have a first cousin (3 years younger)
that said she wanted to marry me when
we were little. When we got older (after some years apart)
she didnt say it anymore but i got the feeling she
looked at me funny when we hanged out.
I gotta say this was very uncomfortable.
Im glad we are far away now so i dont get
in that situation often.
So my answer to incest is NO ,
for me at least, im fine with other ppl doing it
no problem at all

has anyone else seen oldboy.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
The guy meets his daughter after years of being imprisoned. She's all grown up, so he doesn't recognize her. He falls in love with her, and they get all intimate and whatnot. Towards the end he fnids out this woman who's he's with is his daughter. He almost flips out and has his memories of him having found out blocked by some mentalist chick.
Anyway, the fight scenes in that movie were killer

Well according to the bible, Adam and eve were the 2 first humans on earth. They went on to make babies and the babies had sex with each other. Thats totally incest right?? =/ and its totally supported by god. Well, at least for thoese living in the old testimon?

Hah, that reminded me of the story my Genetics teacher told us. Can you imagine the look on the face of a Catholic priest when hes told by a 12 year old that the Bible promotes incest?

Personally I would find incest wrong, but mostly because the human mind is designed that way for survival purposes. Most people would "feel" wrong about getting it on with someone they spent most of their childhood with (constantly, like to the degree of a sibling) be they an actual blood relative or an adopted sibling.

From a more practical standpoint, I dont really care what others do though, as long as they dont complain if they have deformed babies.

Its shunned upon in my family to get with some with the same last name no matter the distance. Apparently my bloodline is very traceable and that any one who shares my last name or a form of it are related. laugh

i find the bible to not be a good example of human history. Too many things are too open to interpretation.. Such as Adam and Eve being the first two people. The way I see it, they were the first two people God created supposedly. The world itself was already full of people. Most of them were nonbelievers.

Has anyone here ever heard of GSA (Genetic Sexual Attraction)? I randomly stumbled in on the article in wikipedia, and apparently, it has up to 50% chance of happening whenever a family member who has been estranged since childhood or before that meets up with their family again.

GSA Is basically when you feel an intense sexual attraction towards a family member by blood-- there are theories on why it happens, and the one most highlighted in the wiki article was that sometimes, the mind has to do something to connect with the relative make up for all those years separate from them-- as human beings, there are very few ways of showing so much love in such a short amount of time, thus leading to the sexual attraction.

People who experience GSA generally say that it is not incest, since they never knew the person they're feeling attracted to previous to their reunion, thus the person should not be considered family.

Yep, I know it.. I've posted it before in of the Incest threads, I think..

Besides, incest isn't that "spooky", "creepy" or "terrifying".. You're talking about it like you'll die if you speak it out loud.. laugh Human society created that concept, which means that it isn't the truth.. And plus, I find that deforming babies theory a weak argument..

For every incest couple you find with a deformed child, there are ten other incest couples who's children are normal..

Not trying to advertise it.. Just stop labeling something as bad, as it were a fact.. Everyone knows that 1+1=2, but Math wasn't always there.. It was created.. Just like the concept that you should be 'grossed' out by incest..

Yeah, I don't find incest that repulsive. I could not do it with my mother but watching others isn't that big of a deal. I found a movie I want to watch aboutthis topic: Spanking the monkey

Well it's scientifically proven that incest can mess up the kids. It was a big issue around where I live about 50 years ago, there's a huge low populated island aa few kilometers off shore, and the genes were running really low and newborns started getting messed up.

But yea, it's not like it's certain to happen, but it's generally better to avoid it for the next generations sake. Most likely the reason to why it's illegal eyes But still, getting thrown in prison etc might be a bit harsh. You can't really help who it is you're attracted to no I wonder if there is a way to test if it's "safe" to get kids within family?

I've heard quite a bit about families all over the world having their kids marry to keep their bloodline pure. I doubt they'd do that if the kids got messed up alot? none

Anyone got any numbers on how common faulty kids are within incest cases?

Too true, but each country has its own standard of what is classified as incest and safe incest.

True it was a problem for a long time and also within the last 100 years many 1st world countries have restricted this kind of social relationship for the general health. Like the "blue skinned people" of Kentucky or more life threaten defects like weak overall health.

But keep in mind all humans share roughly 1/65 of their DNA with every other human with different evolutions changing these figures ever so slightly. We are all related just not directly. The more we evolve the more our DNA won't sync up and maybe some day some humans around the world won't be able to breed with others cause of that evolution. Just a random thought.

Personal opinion for me is incest with a direct family member is out of the question. Cousin with whom you share 50% or less of the same DNA doesn’t really freak me out so much. Its not about pure blood its more about connections with the people you care about and if they think of you in a similar fashion. It should be in no way confused with simply wanting to have sex much goes for the same in all relationships.

I have very nice very beautiful cousins but my problem is they are too close too much like sisters to myself. I'd like to meet someone like them someday but I have too much of a big brother complex in wanting to watch out for them to have anything else go thru my head.(Dreams don't count)
