I wonder how this anime series will play out since I have a feeling that the anime series will not have the same atmosphere as the manga. That said, I shouldn't be jumping to conclusions, but still.... >_>

Wow. It's a full 24 episodes to boot. There's been too many 13 episode anime out there recently. They always left me feeling unfulfilled.

And the official anime website: http://special-a.jp/
...still a bit upset at Gonzo doing it. It's either hit or miss. There's no in between for Gonzo.

Wow! I wasn't a major fan of the manga but I'm actually gonna watch this to see how it turns out. Although, as excited as I am...the characters just don't look like their manga counter-parts. >_o Kei, Tadashi, and Hikari just don't look anything like before. T____T

No duh. Anime NEVER looks like the manga. Take Love Hina, the anime that was completely killed and butchered the manga.It's HARD to copy an artist's style. So it's no surprise they don't look like the manga. o__O;

That's true but there are animes that try and come close. It doesn't have to be exact but at least have SOME similar physical characteristics as their manga version (hair color, eye color, facial structure, etc). Fruits Basket, Death Note, Bleach, xXxHolic, Paradise Kiss, Nana, Tsubasa, etc are some examples of character designs that at least resemble the mangaka's original design.

All those mangas, except for a few exception, have art styles that are easy to copy. o.o <3 Cause they're so overused, y'know? ;D
But that's what happens to Special A when it gets licensed by Gonzo. *sigh* What a shame. =[
