Alright, now I remember! Since you've never had to ban anyone before, I'm assuming it takes a lot. So, what are reasons that would get someone banned?

Well, for Dark_Sage.. I think it was because he was challenging the mods, and he completely didn't follow the rules.. He also couldn't maintain a civilized discussion..

And does anyone have a FAQs for idiots for mIRC? Seriously.. I still haven't figured everything out.. it took me 6 months to learn how to register a nick.. and that was 'cause some nice guy helped me. (and yes, I read the FAQs for it.. and still dead )

I'm pretty new to it too, and I figured it out because someone nice helped me.. *_*

Is it just my internet that loves to throw fits or does the site poll randomly shows the results off and on? :/ confused

I have the same thing. Sometimes it shows results, sometimes it still shows me options for voting. I guess it's like Indre said in 'Tell Me Something' - when your IP changes, you can still vote (which is funny, 'cause my IP at home doesn't change, uh...)

There's an mIRC guide already: http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=197

For the contacts question, I can't answer that since I wear glasses and have no experience with contacts...

For the main poll bug, supposedly you cannot vote again based on IP, but I guess something's wrong with that piece of coding...Also, did you know what by clicking "Result", you cannot vote? I asked Manick to fix that a while ago, but he never did...

As for Dark_Sage, you guys can figure it out well enough...

For the contacts question: I'd strongly advise you against it. But you're free.
It's actually not the best for the eyes, hygiene wise, and it also is risky. Imagine you hit your face for whatever reason. Bad... And that,s the opinion of my ophthalmologist, I think he knows what he says. For the pros... well you can say it looks better, and you also get a full field of vision.

Yes the poll is based on IP, if you have a dynamic IP, you will be able to vote multiple times. There might also be a bug with it.

And if you guys don't see why Dark_Sage got banned... then you better be prepared to eventually suffer the same fate he did.

I guess I have one of those. I don't know though, because I have no idea what a dynamic IP is. A dynamic IP would be...?

(Yea.. I ask a lot of stupid questions... sue me bigrazz )

As for contacts.. I have both contacts and glasses... Mainly because, I hate driving with glasses because of the glare from headlights.. and as for glasses, I always take early classes, so sometimes, I don't have time to throw 'em in. I hardly wear either :/ though I really should. I think contacts are a personal preference.. though if you get 'em, I'd get disposable ones.. though, that's just me. And don't sleep in them people! Argh.. I hate that. :/

Anyways, question time.. I'm getting some contacts soon.. And I wanted to know the pros and cons of it.. Anyone that can help me..?

oh oh!!! Let me answer!

soft or hard, though...? I have hard, because it helps un-worsen my eyesight. But I'm sure you're getting soft.....

I have no cons for it bigrazz They're easy to adjust too... took me only a week. But it took me a month to put them in my eye without getting scared... Now it takes me two seconds to put in one. I think washing soft contacts is a lot different from washing hard ones.. I wash mine everyday, but my friends don't wash their soft ones..? They just put the clear solution thing, and then let their contacts drown in there every night.. But I think it's better if you wash them everyday.

The important thing is to keep them clean. That's all!

... okay I have one con. If you have sand in your eye, you die dead soft contacts are different, maybe... But hard ones, I die dead other than that, I love contacts!!! I wouldn't "strongly advise you against it" because they're good biggrin

Short simplified (I'll try actually) lesson time:
IP is short for Internet Protocol address. Every computer (or device) connected to internet must have one. It's used to identify the computer on a network. For example when you request to view the release page in here, the server needs to know to who exactly on the web he is going to send the data from the release page. And for that he uses your IP address.
So that IP address must be unique as to not create any unnecessary confusions. Only one device can possess one IP at a time on a given network.
So you understand that it's quite logical to use the IP to identify users who vote on the poll?
Specially since most people have a fixed IP address. Meaning that their Internet Service Provider (ISP) assigns to them one IP address for as long as they are still using their services.
But some other ISP's do things differently (like mine). They don't bother to give every user a permanent address, but actually gives them a new one every time they connect on the Internet. The ISP has a pool of addresses, and just keeps passing them around, but still makes sure that only one person has the same address at a time. That's dynamic IP.
And since the poll is based on the concept of one IP one person, every now and then, he thinks you're a new person because you have a new IP.

OK... I hope that's understandable. And no, we don't sue people for asking questions... we sue people that don't and assume they know.

serious? So if I'm uploading something with your internet provider, my IP is always different? =D I should consider changing...

okay, here's another question... how much can I upload, before I get caught dead

Gotcha~ Learning new things everyday. Though, some of this stuff.. I really should know :/ Thank you for explaining..

And since we're on the talk of computers... I have a zip drive.. though some people say you really shouldn't use 'em.. something bout the disk not lasting permanently or something like that... so what would ya'll recommend? Cause I really don't like keeping a massive amount of things on my computer.. I rather slap it onto something. Someone mentioned something bout some kind of hard drive thingy.. I don't really remember, cause I wasn't really paying attention cause a Colt game was on (it was rude I know :/ ).

Oh~ and one more thing (another computer question) okay, if you had a printer installed onto your computer.. and it no longer shows it's installed.. but you can't find the stupid disk, is there something you can do? Or do I just need to go buy a new printer? Or will the manufacture send me a new one? I don't know.. cause I can't even find the instructions...

Ah, zip drives...Not that many people use them anymore. For portability, I recommend you either get an external hard drive or a USB flash memory stick.

What did you do to uninstall a printer?...You'll need to somehow install the drivers for the printer again. Try checking the manufacturer's website, sometimes they have it. If not, you'll probably have to get another printer

Well, first try looking in C: program Files.. Your installed programs are usually there.. And if it's not, and you don't find the disk.. It means you either have to go buy a new disk or a new printer.. Either try contacting your manufacturer for the disk, or else just buy a new printer.. Hope this was useful~

Oh~ that's what is was.. external hard drive.. I'll stick with that.. if not.. I'd have like hundreds of those USB memory sticks :/. I already have a few that I use for classes, ect.. Honestly, I couldn't answer that.. I have no idea.. I went to go print.. and it wasn't there anymore... :/ But.. I guess I'll probably have to go buy a new one :/... That'll be my third one! Ugh.. :/
