AND I HAVE A RANDOM QUESTION. why do people draw their shoujo heiroines wiht their mouths open when they smile? they just did something good and they smile a 5 inch smile wihtout any laghing sounds. theyre just standing there with their mouths open

i was wondering that too!
eek

because the mangaka think they look cuter if they smile this way. And since their mouths are often drawn so small _ it would be harder to notice a smile there

The "closed eyes huge toothy shoujo grin"?
It's because a true shoujo heroine breathes from her eyes.
When the eyes are shut - the mouth is open.

On a more serious note -
I think it's because it makes them appear more innocent than with a regular smile.
Ever seen a dog breath? Looks like a big, adorable grin.
Any dog is cuter than the most shoujoish of shoujos though.

It's one of those exaggerations, like with the eyes.

I think what he's trying to say is it's unrealistic, but then again...manga was ever realistic??

Agreed. The big smiley/frowny open mouths is what makes manga... manga!

So who really cares if the mouth is open. It's fun that way.

I actually have a question~

My parents own a Canon Rebel (not sure which model, but it's an older one... not that old though... I think...), but they rarely use it. All they do with it is bring it to weddings which happens like once or twice a year... and lately I've been using it a lot messing around/playing with it.
Okay, it doesn't zoom very much... well, it barely zooms at all. And when I want to take really close pictures of flowers and stuff to show the detail, I literally have to be a centimeter away from whatever I'm taking a picture of... and basically it gets really annoying and I end up looking like an idiot. ._.
Now, Black Friday is coming up, and I've been trying to figure out what exactly it is that I need to buy to get a closer/more zoom. I know proffessional photographers and even amateurs buy lenses (or is it lens? I don't know the terminology for this kind of stuff) that adds on to the camera. What I really would like to know is, what are those called, where can I buy them, and how do I know what's the right kind of lens to use for my camera, and how do I tell if it's a good deal?

i have a question. Why do many bad guys in anime wear white? Just because to take the meaning of the colours around? Sarcasm? (since white is usually good) If someone don´t know what i mean, look at Team Rocket or the Arrancar.

Well when i think of bad guys in white I think of the Yakuza. So maybe in Japan alot of yakuza actually do wear white, so they just put that into manga?
Oh and for the camera question...wiki or go to a camera shop, probably find way better there smile

If you want a lens especially for close up shots, you need to find a lens called "macro". They're especially designed for close up detailed shots.
You need to make sure that the lens will fit your camera though. Best way to find that out is going into a shop and them telling you what models will fit your camera and then when you have the names of the models, you can start shopping around for the best deals because lenses aren't cheap. At all. No doubt they'll be expensive in the shop so just go and use them to find what lenses will fit your camera then shop online.

Ah, thank you very much for the information. I guess I won't buy anything at the moment because of high prices. Thanks again!

...Well, in Baccano!, the Russo family wears white so they can show the blood of the ones they've killed on their tuxes. xD

I'm not exactly what you'd call a tech-wiz or something like that. I have recently seen this "chibi desktop mascots" and they're on .exe file.
I think .exe doesnt work on Mac. So what do I do? I don't want those hard-download-this-install-that. I want a simple explanation, a tech-idiot like me would understand. Please and thank you <3

Does anyone know where on Hamlet's body did Laertes' rapier hit? (In Shakespeare's Hamlet...)

Oh, thank you very much.
I thought it mentioned where on his body in the play, but I guess not (grr how I dislike Shakespeare!).

You probably read the comment by Horatio as the placement of the strikes... When it's simply saying both have been injurged.

I've got a question:
OK...So i was woundering. If you saw someone, somewhere in a near death expirience that you can easily help them avoid would it be a crime to walk away from it. Say for instance it was caught on cctv.

I'm talking about something where you could easily help and you could clearly see the problem but just choose to ingnore them purposefully. Maybe even stop by to look at them, right next to them and still choose to ignore them and not notify anyone.
If you were caught on camera is that an offense?

Like leaving someone in a death trap or whatever, your delight to think something up.
