What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

though i voted for cat, i don't care about animals in manga since they don't have anything to do with the story. unless the manga is about animals...

Doesn't matter to me as long as it's well thought out.

Animals in manga can serve any purpose, from monsters, to characters we actually care about, to comic relief. It's the execution that matters most.

With or wothout are all Ok, as long as the story is good.

I would like to mention Gon. It's one of my all time favorites, and while often ridiculous, shows lots of awesome animals.
