I don't get it.... am I the only person that thinks those girls not only need to look closer but also need a whole new pair of eyes >>.
Imo he has a feminine face but the whole "is he a girl or boy" is over exaggerated. No matter how I look at it, he's clearly a boy.
Makes me feel like the description tricked me </3

The girls are in the background so it could just as well be a long haired guy but that doesn't really matter, they still have speech bubbles though.

I've read all of the current chapters and am still confused. After reading the description, I was expecting the usual trap character where the mangaka obviously drew as a girl but said that it was a guy. He is nothing like that. He looks like a guy now, he looked like a guy in the flashbacks.

After reading the chapters so far though, it doesn't really seem like it will play much of a roll in the story anymore. I think it will focus on romance at this point

maybe one of the fourteen girls that he is supposed to sleep with will be a tomboy who doesn't like girly guys until he saves her or something like that...I don't see much more than that though.

@orpheus; I know for the plot it doesn't matter much, but the reason I started reading was because of the whole girly-boy thing... The description of the manga emphasized so much on how his girly face made other girls jealous etc, but I can't help but be annoyed when everyone in the manga reacts as if he's a girl when he looks like any regular shounen male lead.

His chin doesn't seem any different from the other guy's... He does have girly eyes, but not to the point where he should be mistaken for a girl; even when he shaves his head...

smile I was actually happy that he does not look a lot like a girl, despite the characters' reactions to him, since I hate traps. He reminds me of Ubel Blatt's protagonist's real face, plus two other characters there, including Kusharundo Atou, who is a little girl, but Terumi looks a little more musculine, and definitely not as feminine as Aoi Sora or Mihara Miharu from Aki-Sora. Eww. dead

Unforunately though, Minamoto's girly side does start taking spotlight in chapter 10, 'Kawaii,' when someone puts make-up and flowers on him. no What kind of guy would let somebody do that? eyes Well, he did get something good out of it: A view of the girl's breasts. shy Still, I hope that is just a one-time thing.

Regarding the manga as a whole, so far, the first 11 chapters have been an annoying cock-tease. I hope that Kaoruko is as good as she appears to be, and makes her nephew grow a pair, although it is doubtful that the story will shift 180 degrees just like that. sad I am surprised at how some of the few panels are wasted on things like fantasies and already-seen flashbacks.

confused By the way, is it illegal to show minors drinking in manga? I have noticed that a lot of titles, including this one and Shinshi na Meets Girl, make an effort to let the readers know that the underage characters are not imbediting alcohol. laugh

@Seijurou there's underage drinking in manga all the time...

I agree it's good that he usually doesn't look like a girl. No traps.

If you want him to look like one, read ch 11.

eyes Mmm, virgins (I mean the girl, of course; no homo dead).

confused I am not sure why some people bitch about the art, though; it is not that bad. none

@Seijurou; Well the arts not bad...actually it's really good, but I'm not talking about the art quality; just how people react to him.

I meant the guys commenting on the series' page, calling the art 'sketchy,' I believe. The girls look good enough for me. We need more fan-service, though, and longer chapters. Maybe the reason that he doesn't look that girly to us is because we see a person wearing guys' clothes in black-and-white pictures without many close-ups to his face. I am just glad I don't see him raising his bath towel to cover his chest or gay shit like that which I have seen in other manga.

Lol. I hate mangas that prioritize fan-service over plot or coherence of the story.

And i also used to avoid sketchy art, but then I read Ares; it's got a really sketchy/and some may say bad art style, but the manga overall is one of the best.
