I didn't care for MegaVideo, but the loss of MU is pretty devastating. *adds it to the list of sites she cannot access because of strict web controls/other circumstances*

man this sucks, mega is what i used for big file(500+)/continuous(without in between time limits) download... f**k!... mega was the best, long download life, fast, huge limit, no succession limit...all thats left is media but with the adds/redirecting adds and the size limit, its no mega... but the last without a succession limit...

and ofcourse there gonna close more, media and the rest do the same as every other uploader does. upload anything any user puts on it, copyrighted or not(till found copyrighted, same rules applied to mega). i wish there was a country for tech/net lovers without a constant threat of purging... africa? south america? canada? south pole? the moon?

to be honest i avoided megaupload and megavideo like the plague because ads and wait times and that 72 min watch limit which was a hassle and ridiculous. i have to say i snickered a little when i heard the news.

i hope mangafox is next~

i'm only a little bit sad. i remember using megavideo before the 72min watch limit (ahh, the good old days). but since the whole limit thing i've switched to other places. but it still will be missed.

I do agree with this. megaupload/video was always on the invasive side, so I didn't shed a tear at its departure. As everyone else is pointing out though, if mediafire went down, then I would have something serious to cry about....

They're just pissed because the SOPA/ PIPA thing was denied. They aren't going to stop with just Megaupload/video. Say goodbye to your constitutional rights.

So if S.O.P.A is passed, it affects other countries? Doesn't that break some laws or something, because the internet is a free and world wide thing? confused

Unless something changed while I wasn't paying attention (which is entirely possible) ICANN is still under US control.

Well it truly begins now, now we get onto a warpath.

Something big's gotta change or a lot of good shit is about to go.

Man I'm really disappointed in the world sometimes if not almost all the time.

now that megaupload is down im going to spend thousands of dollars to buy crappy tv shows and movies i only watch when im bored as hell.
looks like hollywood has won since im going to spend all my money to buy stuff i barely like

Why would you do this? There's a large enough variety of good free and dirt-cheap games out there to cure any boredom.

...sarcasm.

Anyway, megaupload was pretty good. I never had that much of a problem with it. Megavideos yeah, but not MU itself.

Seriously though, I hope Mediafire stays.
