It'll probably keep going for awhile... Though I believe the one-shot was soo much better then the actual series... I liked the girls character design in the one-shot a lot better too, now she looks a bit typical.
GAH. The art is still fantastic though, nothing lacking in that.

When i read every chapter, i feel like the end is coming near. I think the pacing of each chapter is so insanely fast. With a beast cliffhanger on every last page.

Seriously? cliff hanger? That?

This manga is so see trough they could just write at the beginning how is it going to end and that would't make it more obvious, since is pretty much at the peak.

You people just don't have any eyes. Double arts barely get "hot" in manga's sites while this has been "hot" since its 10th chapter. wink It won't be killed any time soon. Btw, Double Arts was slow developing and boring as hell.

shup up, you are just the kind of guy who like to read the same thing over and over again...

i had lost count of how many "love triangles with a tsundere main girl who (who could ever tell) actually turns out to be a childhood friend of the main character" i had read before.
And what with the tsudenre reverse trap? that was so fu..in obvius it hurt my head, i started thinking "this is a girl but that would be revelad later" the moment her shadow started talking with the blond, cliched bodyguard with a complex for her Oujo-sama, guy (although you probably won't believe that, i can swear for god i did)

Then the "sudden" trip to the hotel with the outside bath.... super original with out a dobout... nobody ever writes that in an ecchi-comedy.

And to begin with, from the one-shot to the manga, we lost a main character who, at least, was talented in study, to one that is just plain and have no quality at all, I know japanase manga fans are pathetic guys with no abilities that identify themselves easily with that kind of mc but i still find that to be pathetic.

People just like cliche un-original things, nothing else.

and i'm just reading it because i hate it and i had been teach that to make a good critic one need to read the whole thing.

At least Duble-arts was original, i won't deny that the "we can't separate" wasn't new, but it was done in an original way and the ability of the main character was really well though to fit the situation.

Oh well, I didn't mean to offend anyone either. Nisekoi is getting huge popularity and good comic sale and getting Cover + Center Color page... So I guess that spoke for its popularity... There are for sure a lot of series with similar settings but how mangakas develop the settings is what matters! Plus if you like Double Arts and want to support Komi-sensei, you do what I do and support Nisekoi. It will be tough for him if he gets cancelled this time around too...

I'm giving you that, i do want him to succeed, but i still think been popular doesn't mean it's good. Most of the plot is unoriginal and easy to foresee and i'm going to stand firm on that.

Anyway, i send a mail to Lamb to ask for this thread name to be changed to "General Discussion"

Well I will give you that Double Arts sure was original. It has good idea and all but the fact is that he was too inexperience back then and the story only has that one good idea, the arts killed half of it, then the lack of movement and development killed off the other half. It was too bad that he used that idea when he did. If he used that now I would bet it would be an incredible series for sure. But well support Nisekoi for at least two years, then he can go and write another original series. If he can't write any good series and the only one got cancelled he might be dumped from Jump and that would suck even more!

By the way, what do you expect? Weekly SHONEN Jump is a KID manga. And they are KID! He had to write something that is appealing to them. He might be more Ashirogi and less Niizuma eyes

I agree, it kind of got to my nerves that this manga become so popular since i actually enjoy reading shonen.
I love seinen but shonen would always have a spot in my heart, i suppose i'm still a kid deep down so it actually pains me to see an original and interesting manga got axed because the mangaka was unable to bring it to its full potential, i supposed is as you said, let's hope he does well and we get to see something even better some day coming out of his pen.

Am i the only one that get that feeling? Double arts was 10 times better than this, more original, better main character, better heroine, yet it got axed when it still had much to give. Now this mangaka (Komi Naoshi) bring us a new manga and this is what we get?
I think I agree with you that the previous series he created that was canceled was more interesting. But this series seems as equally interesting on its own merits. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets an anime soon. Just be glad for the author that he's made a series that will get him the respect he deserves. If the publishers were to cancel this series, I am sure there will be even more hell to pay.

Let's just hope that he gets enough experience and funds from this one to put them to better use. I kinda feel like his art style and character design is wasted for a lovecom harem manga...
And let's be fair, even though it isn't very original, it's still funny and enjoyable, though imo it only lives from facial expressions... Sometimes those are just way too hilarious biggrin

I don't know about anybody else but I loved the one shot....but the series is pissing me off...it was a romantic comedy then it turned into one of those cliche ass harems...he is nice to them once and the girls become unreasonably attached to him...he won't pick a girl until he absolutely has to or he might not pick one at all...Its starting to get repetitive...he has a moment with each of the girls then something happens and he gets a bit closer with chitoge, but after that they forget about it and restart the whole cycle...I give it ten more chapters then I'm out...and why the hell hasn't there been one new male character? We need a dude rival so we can get some actual development in the relationship...because everyone knows you don't know what you got til its gone(its a big paradise to put up a parking lot)...but i'm getting real bored........so yeah sorry..

That's pretty much the reason i made the thread, this Manga piss me off more than normal because it proves that in the end cliche is better when it comes to making something popular, seeing how well it is doing and how his first, more original and interesting, work got the axe. To make it better i really liked the One-shot too.
