Okay so this may not seem that important but I am so very confused right now. I thought I had finished this series a couple months ago and other people in the reviews say it's only 3 chapters long so I know I'm not crazy... but now the status has changed to ongoing and there is another chapter out. How did this series come back from the dead? Not that this is an unpleasant surprise though. It's pretty awesome that there is still more to the story but it's just weird to me.. Does this happen often? or am I the only one a little baffled?

It's been serialized, so now it's an ongoing series.

The thing is that Last Game was supposed to be a short story, but as I read it had great success so the author decided to make a serialized story.

I'm pretty happy, and yeah, this happens a lot. I don't recall some right now, but famous mangas came from oneshots.

Ooh okay. Yeah I thought that could be the case but it had a few chapters rather than just being a oneshot so it kind of threw me off.

Well here are some

Well Bleach, Naruto, Nisekoi, and TWGOK all started out as oneshots, and if you could see those oneshots most were terrible (in comparison to their serial), except Nisekoi's, TWGOK's was just a little poorly drawn. Even Usotsuki Lily was created from 4 seperate one-shots. but I digress
I passed over this series originally because it was completed, and assumed it wasn't good since it was only 4 chapters, which usually means it was a manga that tried to serialize but failed.
I do find it interesting it is told from the guy's POV.
