Hi guys! I'm looking for a manga that has a extensive universe. You know, those that has its own type of social, political, and or economical stuff. My search is kinda general, but if a manga that has a world that has a strong impression/ resonance in your mind, post it! I'd me more than glad to check them out.

P.S
I like fantasy

The first that came to my mind is Basara, but you may have read that already.

I also read a lot of romance stories, so this may not be your cup of tea lol.

tsubasa is pretty good

it has multiple universes in it so can get a little confusing if you start in the middle of it

It's really hard to find a manga that has a universe that doesn't feel generic. Here are my recs.

Fantasy

Juuni Kokki* - Own political system, religious system, flora and fauna, races etc etc. Extremely detailed. you feel like you're there. The anime is excellent. I never got a feeling the world was vague. Highly recommended.

Basara - Seconded.

Full Metal Alchemist - Social and political stuff, not so much economic stuff. There definitely are some distinct features in the world that i still remember.

[m]Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind[/m] and Princess Mononoke have very distinct settings. I believe there are color manga books, but i recommend the movies.

Hunter x Hunter - I found the locations (all the cities they went to) very memorable. The setting does feel like a shonen setting though, if that puts you off.

+Anima - kind of cutesy, but had a distinct setting that made an impression on me. Even though the story is not that fast paced, I kept rereading it because i liked where it took place.

Dystopian
Shingeki no Kyojin - I can't tell how much of my memory of the setting was based on the unique monsters. The setting definitely feels more unique than other stories i've read.

No. 6 - Some shounen ai here. I watched the anime and found the setting very memorable.

Historical
Vinland Saga - Follows the life of a young viking. Very detailed.
Historie - Follows the life of Eumenes, advisor to alexander the great.
Shoukoku no Altair - Follows the life of a young pasha.
Otoyomegatari - About a lady from a nomadic tribe married off to a young boy.
