Just wanted to announce for those who did not know.
New sample chapter from Dance of Dragons by George RR Martin (Jon):
http://georgerrmartin.com/if-sample.html

So that makes it 3 total. The one from end of Feast of Crows (Dany) and the Tyrion one:
http://www.georgerrmartin.com/chapter.html
But the Tyrion has been out for some time now. Enjoy.

Also there is still no set release date for this next installment since it seems he is still currently working on it. For those who have yet to pick up this series please do. It's really the series that got me into reading. By reading I mean in the sense of reading just for the sheer joy of it.

Link is for the Hardcover (1st book in the series). There's also a a Paperback version. Highly highly highly recommend.

Oh man, with all the time he's been working on 'Dance' it just makes me wanna giggle like a schoolgirl (an anime schoolgirl...) when I think about the level of quality the book must have. :-)

It's the one thing that keeps me from going insane during this wait. 'Feast' was out... when? Bronze Age? Jurassic?.. *sigh*

anyone knows when the full book goes out?...I think if It goes like this I will die before I learn who were Jon's parents(would be funny if it was really Eddard and some random ee girl not The young prince and Eddard's sister)

I don't know, it also took him a long time to write AfFC, and that book is probably the weakest one to date. However, he did state that he had a hard time writing AfFC due to the new time line he was hoping to use in the novel.

I'm looking forward to ADoD, but I've been holding off reading the spoiler chapters. I just want to get it all at once when he does finally release it.

Dang, no set date *curses*, well I only read the others in February (all four in less than a month.). Hopefully A Memory of Light will come out soon and tide me over for a while.

That's the official (I think) forum to the books, there are summaries of more sample chapters there, but I recommend that you do not enter this forum if you have not read A Feast for Crows as there are many spoilers there. :D

If you're busy waiting for Martin's new book, you should check out The Name of the Wind. It's by another author who, like Martin, stands out amongst the ever growing crowd of moderately inept fantasy authors.
