kajitsu writes: It's finally official: TANEMURA Arina's Shinshi Doumei Cross will end with the next issue of Ribon. So it will be completed with 47 chapters (supposedly 11 volumes). Nevertheless, in the next Ribon issue (7/2008) a new series from Arina will start: Zettai Kakusei Tenshi Mistress Fortune
Also, OOUCHI Natsumi's Aozora Pop ended in the recent Ribon issue. This series is now 25 chapters (5 volumes)

I just took a look at the description. I'm surprised that I hadn't seen Shinshi Doumei Cross before, when it's in the top 100 series for reading lists. Looks like a lot of people will be sad to see it go and look forward to Arina's next one. What was the source on this, by the way? kajitsu's name links to Ribon's web site, but I can't read Japanese, so I wonder if that's really it.

I'm personally glad that Shinshi Doumei Cross will be ending next. While I loved the series, I also appreciate Tanemura-sensei's ability to NOT ruin a series with pointless fillers and plot devices.

i'll be sad to see Shinshi Doumei Cross end but i guess it had to end sooner or later and this was one of TANEMURA Arina's first series that was longer then 4 or 7 volumes since only 2 of her works were only 7 volumes long and another only 4 volumes long and then 1 only 1 volume long that were oneshots.
so there aren't that many manga by TANEMURA Arina.
anway im lookiing forword to the new series wondering how long it'll be how the story going to be and all that ect!!!

絶対覚醒天使 looks incredibly interesting...are you sure it's only shoujo? Arina Tanemura is famous for her romance pieces~ Anyway, I'm extremely excited to see Shinshi Doumei Cross end, not because it's bad (I love it), it's because I personally don't like long series XD
