So the question is which country isn't among the subscribers of the Bern convention and how to take the scanlation group headquarters there, at least virtually...
Guess no more Immortal Regis... even if a new group continues the project they will stop eventually. This sucks, i was looking forward to this manwha.

it's a shame, in the internet there are many illegal stuf that noone cares about, like software, music, books, but why care about scanlators that doesn't give any financial loss to the publishers

Why is it that when I saw the headline I automatically thought "That damn recession!"?

Well, by RSS I just meant a sub site on their site that showed the latest updates. They could list it under like... meepscans/site/somerandomstuff/something for the rss, and only the people who know would see it through their programs/addons. I was just suggesting it as an alternative to actually updating the website, the idea came from a recent rash of servers shut down from Blizzard, and one site hiding their stuff showing their site was down, and hiding all their site functions through subdomains and folders, and different php sites. They are still going, and dozens of others are gone.

hey're antagonizing against non-first language manga-readers!
Although I never read any of Meep scans, it still makes me mad...
Korean kid, one word for you: You traitor! DX

IMMORTAL REGIS is owned by the company who sent the letter while Aflame is not. meep could continue doing Aflame but doing only one project isn't what meep probably wanted to do.

I had thought about posting some big long comment, but now I just don't care. I'm sad Meep is gone, they did good work that I enjoyed and they seemed to be pretty nice guys. I'm also upset that Aflame Inferno has supposedly been licensed since May of last year, yet we haven't seen a thing from Tokyopop.
One thing I just want to say is that not everybody who reads manga online is a dick and just leeching so they don't have to pay for anything. Every month, I get a package from Japan that has issues of Comic Alive and morning2 (I also recently added good! afternoon to my subscriptions). Why? Because I want to support those magazines, the manga they run, and the mangaka they publish. Every time a new volume of Black Lagoon, Claymore or Gantz comes out in the US, I buy it. I've already read these manga online, but I want to support them, and see them continue getting published in English. I'd love it if the English releases actually caught up to the Japanese ones so that I could read the hardcopy instead of viewing scanlations. But until that time, I'll still read scanlations. I also have a bunch of tankoubons on my shelves of series that I enjoyed the scanlatons of, despite the fact that I read very little Japanese and can understand maybe a few words in the actual tank. If you enjoy a manga, I suggest you do the same thing. Buy the tanks off Amazon.jp or just go to your local bookstore and buy the licensed series in your country when it comes out.
I guess that was a long comment, but I just wanted to say it. Not everyone is a cheapskate who's trying to get everything for free.
Also, I'll be very sorry if ShoujoMagic closes. They've done some great projects, but I understand the predicament they are in. If I was a better editor or if I knew more Japanese, I would apply to help, but my editing sucks and my Japanese is non-existent. All I can do is encourage people to help them.
