Nagareboshi Manga is formally disbanding due to various reasons, one of which is about the current scanlation situation (read the latest news posts if you have no clue what I'm talking about). However, apparently Midnight Scans will be continuing at least some of their projects.

Awwww.....I loved their projects. T__T

But given for the current situation, it was for the best. Best wishes for the staff.

I can understand not wanting to take the risk but why did they give up so quickly? Were they threatened or something by one of the coalition?

Awww... That's really unfortunate to hear. ;_;
They were a great scanlation group with a ton of awesome shoujo projects.

I wish Midnight Scans the best of luck~

MS getting staff but then they're also adding quite a few projects. Dunno but I really hope the additional staff can work on those projects as well as theirs. More power to both the people in MS and from Nagareboshi Manga (inclu. those not moving to MS)!

posted my thanks/wishes directly on their site
Guessing this may be the first of many groups to "change" or stop.

Their announcement said that there were reasons other than this war on scanlation; it seemed like this just finalized the admin's decision. I don't see this as them giving up, more like this was the breaking point.

Best of luck to them, and all the staffers too!

): This was the very first scanlation group I discovered when I began reading manga. I will truly miss this amazing group. Good luck to MS, and my thanks to you for taking on some of the projects Nagareboshi was working on - I love every one of them!

Loved them because they always released something weekly.
Best of luck to them with wherever they go from here though!

NBM was, or more importantly *is*, one of my number one hangouts before MU. The forum was a "home", and our active posters have become friends and family. On the outside I feel completely shell shocked, but on the inside I want to sort of cry.

It sucks that the number one scanlation group that I follow has (as far as I know) become the first victim of these recent events, but business is business. However, there is also understand that the admin and staffers have many priorities, and an actual life other than doing their job most of the time.

As the days go on, I'll miss NBM.

argh! *clutches heart* I feel like having a heart attack after reading NBM's post and MS's post... pangs... sad and worry... argh, this is frustrating. Like many others, NBM was the first group I noticed when I discovered manga. I really appreciate them :,<
well, all the best to ai and the staffs, and of course to MS too!

Well school is the major point...and the alliance against scans, lol....lulz at the statement from Viz going "RAWRRR we shall use FBI!"

Good thing the rest of us doesn't live in japan or usa....poor people, lol.

So what will they do...I'm still wondering....I mean did they send them a nice letter? Will they send me a nice letter? Will we all fight with irc only release? AND WHEN WILL VIZ RELEASE KUROHIME INSTEAD OF SAYING THAT 14 IS THE END?!!?!?!? No wonder we keep scanlating when they screw it up that well.

Ehem....anyways good luck to all the people in the future in their new groups and groups with their new projects.^^
