What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

One Manga Closing

One Manga will be closing its manga doors in about a week's time. The forum there will still function though.

Who is next to go? Us?... ><
I hope not...

Edit: Yes, 1000manga is closing also

yes onemanga will be closing...
but i really hope that mangaupdates won't have the same fate...
see, mangaupdates is just giving us information mmm...
and one of the information is about the publisher and even give the link to their websites mmm...

MangaUpdates provides information about manga and websites and that's is not illegal. So stay strong as we have right to information that you provide and you don't have copyright material that they can use against you unless they start about coverart image.

Don't think so, these websites contain DDL to licensed manga too, i doubt they try to close every scanlation griup expecially ones with no licensed manga in the west.

I hate the direction this is heading in. Mangareading as we know it will be gone if this continues.

Mangaupdates should be safe, but I advice you remove all direct links to licensed manga. If mangaupdates goes one of the main strongholds of the worlds scanlation scene will be gone.

Also, does anyone know where the OM scans will go to!? Maybe they will be donated to MF!?
