Also I think we should stay UNITED! I'm so bored reading opinions like "It doesn't affect my fav genres so I don't care!". It is immature. Noone can like everything. But not liking something doesn't mean to bash it. I don't read hentai and yuri but I defend them too, it is a question of principle, not of personal tastes.

According to the post in Dan's Blog Ishihara wants to reome eromanga completely because this way it would be absolutely sure it won't be bought by kids. Because the labeling now restricts but it is not sure in his opinion. But he doesn't have any proof the labeling doesn't work. This stupidness is like to kill a human ill from flu in order to be sure you kill the viruses.

I hope this is again a vague information!

THIS.
Spreading this kind of sensationalized disinformation is a disservice to the community. I am extremely disappointed in MU for giving such blatantly false[1] misinformation such prominent display on the front page. You should be using the front page to disseminate information that contributes to the edification of the community. Posting about this law could have been a great way to do this, but you choice to publish this misguided (and I'm being generous by leaving it at that) call to action is inimical to this goal. This entire event reflects poorly on MU, its staff, and especially the author of the letter. You all should be ashamed. I hope in the future MU will decide to rely on more accurate sources of information.

Footnotes:
1: I was going to point out that the claim that the law makes owning, creating or selling the affected series illegal is PATENTLY FALSE, but then I realized that there is hardly any accurate information in this barely coherent letter. The only thing the author managed to get right is the fact there is a new law about offensive content. All the claims as to its effects made here are COMPLETELY BOGUS. I find myself re-amazed that MU would even take the time to print this spurious drivel.

Sorry, it was a possible scenario. I'm sure he's willing to do it but then again it was a false alarm. Sorry again!

Hmm..you know..how come Naruto hasn't been stopped, yet? If this law is true, then shouldn't it fall under being "illegal" now, as it depicts teenagers killing and getting killed? Many Shounen should be getting canceled and recalled if this is true..

this guy is insane. in the middle-aged he would have been burned as witch.
no, seriously, how can someone be that stupid. he sounds like mao tse-tung who wanted to rot out all the sparrows in china, but then had to imprt new ones from russia since there where to many insects.
And wouldn´t that man he want to kill his wife now when she got old?

I don't think you understand.

They don't card in Japan. Ever. Booze? Cigarettes? Pr0n? Sex toys? They don't care if you're legal to consume them when you buy them. They'll just assume you're buying for somebody who is of age. (And yes, minors in Japan aren't supposed to have any of those.)

Don't panic very much, it is still vague. I'm extra angry too bc I spent my free time reading manga. We have to wait to see what is exactly this law about.

I really want to see how will this affect their economy. Because, let's face it: manga/anime is an industry and it provides money for Japan's economy. Ok, and let's kill yaoi, ecchi and teacher/student relationships. But what about real porn and hentai? This is absurd. Not to mention the fact that people start learning about Japan from anime and manga. No violence? Ok, no more Sailor Moon and Naruto, right? Because they are so violent...omg, I almost destroyed my entire childhood because of Sailor Moon...such a violent anime. Bullshit. Really, what the heck are they thinking?
