Similar to the last poll, but now for game adaptations! This was suggested by our member Hellsayer (but the choices were edited by me).

Choices:
I enjoy all of them - votes: 243 (2.1%)

Only as long as they don't change too much - votes: 2487 (21.3%)

They ruin the series no matter what! - votes: 3397 (29.1%)

The poll ended: May 28th 2011
No surprise, but it seems that in general, people have a negative reaction to what Hollywood adapts.

I've never played a game adaptation, any video games at all, and only a few computer games.

There are a rather silly number of Dating sims and the such for popular anime series, which is especially strange when the main series has almost no romance.
Anyways, I think I'll go with strategy because SUPER ROBOT WARS!

I've played some Naruto/Bleach games, and that's all. They're usually enjoyable for a certain amount of time, but get boring real fast. I would gladly give a try to everything else, but there is no translation for dating sims, etc., and the understanding is essential for those games.

I can't say I've played enough of them to really have an opinion. *shrugs*
Similar to the last poll, I'm wondering where the "I enjoy it if it's good" option is.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. What if we don't care about them being adaptations and just enjoy them in their own right?

Most of those dating sims are eroges. Most anime I've seen are usually derived from the games such as Fate/stay night or Utawarerumono. Obviously the plot in the anime works around the ero scenes but these games can be quite enjoyable :3

I mean, the point of em aren't for the ero scenes
Fate/stay night has 3 different plot lines, one is the anime, the second is its movie. The 3rd is a bit too risque to have its own anime adaptation imo.
And games like Utawarerumono have it's tactics style gameplay which is nice if you could get used to it.

If it was originally a game that's one thing, but games made to get quick cash off the anime fans are usually bad. Just like movie games.
