Interesting fight. I just don't get how two powerful Uchihas can't even defeat a little snake. I thought they would stomp him hard.

Also, Sasuke seems to have abandoned his hatred for Itachi.

Didnt that happen like ages ago?
I mean why would he hate Itachi and attack Konoha?
He loves him thus he attacks the ones who made him do all that shit.
Brocest in process! embarrassed

This is just a drawn out fight that is pretty lame considering what both these sharingan users have shown us before, its so simplistic where they just keep throwing projectiles at a snake that can change its form, nothing epic or grand like we expect from a big fight in Naruto, 60% of why I read naruto is because of the fights and techniques, now its just stupid fighting, especially considering the abilities that Itachi and Sasuke have shown before.

This is a drawn out fight with more useless talking that makes little sense (the whole sensing thing was completely pointless, as was the weird boar hunting reference that really didn't work for the situation). So close to dropping this manga and that's not so easy considering I've been reading every week since chapter 60.

The boar reference was kishi's way of showing that Itachi and Sasuke have worked together before. As for the sensing thing they had like almost all of their senses rendered useless do to his Sage tech. Also the boar thing they attempted on Kabuto didnt fail their objective was to get back Sasuke's Katana and we also see that Itachi hit Kabuto with his crow genjutsu.

Im guessing next chapter we are gonna see something similar to how Sasuke defeated Danzo's Izanagi.

I'm getting pretty excited over this fight. However, I feel that kabuto will probably find some way to take over itachi's mind again (he mention that he wants to do that) and there probably will be a fight between sasuke and itachi.

I know kabuto had transformed into this great scientist and now became slightly stronger, but for some strange reason I just cant see him as some extremely powerful sage of any sort. no

To be fair, they can't go all-out and fight with full power because they need Kabuto alive and conscious so he can stop the jutsu. I'm assuming if either/both of them were to start using their best techniques, this fight would have been over long ago.

Besides, if I have to choose between the absurdity of meteor-dropping or a simpler fight like this one, I'll take the simpler fight.

The whole wild boar thing was strange. I know Kishimoto wanted to show a previous time when the brothers had fought together, but Sasuke was about 7 when Itachi destroyed the clan and hadn't yet entered the ninja academy. He wouldn't have been competent enough as a ninja to accompany Itachi on any missions at such a young age, and not against giant boars, especially when you consider that Team 7's first missions as genin involved chasing house cats (iirc). I don't think Naruto would have complained so much about wanting a better mission if the cat had been the size of a house!

For the next chapter, I predict Kishimoto's ADD will kick in again and he'll abandon this fight in order to skip back to Naruto or the Kages. bigrazz

That was obviously not an official mission for Sasuke. We don't know the circumstances (which I am sure the anime will touch on). Maybe Sasuke nagged to go or something. You should actually be wondering how Itachi got such a small mission, but, again, maybe he was just asked to do it because he was available. Also, you seem to be severely underestimating Sasuke. He was considered a prodigy for a reason. Remember why he was upset of his brother. Sasuke used to ask Itachi to train and the latter would claim to be busy. This could be one of the times Itachi didn't say 'No.' Sasuke could use the kunai competently and he even perfected his Katon: Goukakyou no Jutsu. Lastly, it was because he was practising late at the ninja academy that he missed seeing his clan getting killed.
