Since you're really after action first, you might want to check out Gunslinger Girl.

If you're interested in the Fate universe, I strongly suggest Fate/Zero (novel). But of course, playing the Fate/Stay Night VN first is recommended (if you haven't yet).

If you liked Gantz, give I am a Hero a shot.

I also fifth Hoshi no Samidare.

Akira is also good. The movie failed to do it justice, IMO (didn't even finish it).

I also suggest Bokurano. TBH, the action is quite lame (2 slow uber giant robots dueling doesn't make for much cool action scenes... and it's repetitive, to boot) but the character development is excellent. Kitoh Mohiro's older work, Narutaru is also worth checking out.

I can probably suggest more titles, but these are the ones I really strongly recommend off the top of my head.

I second/third/fourth/whatever this! Both Shingeki no Kyojin and Pandora Hearts.
I also second Zetman. And Arago.

strange, no one mentions Ga-rei and Otogi Matsuri and Tokyo ESP

Also check out Kiseijuu, Dorohedoro (very weird taste, if you ask me), & a whole lot others which I couldn't remember.

I read first 40-50 chapters of Trace around 1 year ago...but I didnt found it that interesting. Maybe because I have read or watched stuffs of similar themes.

It's hard to read (advance) in some parts, but if you finish the beggar story maybe you'll get what I mean when I say it is originally developed, cause I agree with you when you say there are other similar stories, but in some way I must say this one is different. Anyway I know this topic is not for me to convince you to read trace, so I'm sorry if im a bother xD
