I'm looking for some of those stereotypical comedy shounen mangas that tend to run for a long time or become popular and frequently have an action, ecchi and/or harem romance aspect.

oh yea I know both of those I'm watching the one piece anime right now so I'm saving the manga for if I forget something of the story. And I remember reading ichigo up to a point and then stopping to read something else,

Absolutely love TWGOK its one of the best/funniest I've ever read and right now I'm letting DxD build up a few releases so I can have a kind of marathon but thanks for the suggestions.

I'm pretty sure they fit a stereotype because the big key mark in my opinion is that when you read it you tend to think "OK so its one of those types of stories," or "great another one that follows that classic formula." So thanks for the suggestions.

where are Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Flame of Recca, Black cat, Psyren, Full ahead coco, Inuyasha - I can only recall those names right now.
There are a whole lot of stereotypical shounen, those I listed are considered good to awesome.
