Hourou Musuko

Franken Fran
Kiseijuu
Uzumaki
One piece Mostly just for the combination of genres. Pirates and magic and some dragon ball thrown in.
Shorter is also better too, so I can read it in a sitting. That would be like 400-1000 pages or so depending on how much text and how complicated it is.

Not sure, but first one I have to think of, after reading your post is Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya Senpai no Kaidan. Well, Yotsuya is ... simply Yotsuya, and the storyline is definitely worth it's while. =)
