I know there have been a lot of topics and polls asking who your 'favorite couple' is, so I thought I'd ask a different question, do you want romance in bleach to start with? After recently reading the recent arcs, I'm getting the distinct impression that Tite Kibo is trying to bring a romance factor into bleach with Orihime and Ichigo. Apart from not liking her to start with (sorry Orihime fans!), I really enjoyed bleach without the romance in it (even though I am a sucker for the romance genre).

thats just my opinion... but anyway, would you or would you not prefer romance? Or do you not care one way or the other?

I'd prefer some romance, as long as its written well and between characters whom I like. I could go either way on Ichigo and Orihime...I used to hate her character because she was so dull and predictable but at least he added another layer of complexity to her.

Even though its not going to happen I think it would be awesome for Ichigo to wind up with Nel, I find her to be irresistibly cute and hilarious. Before you go and say pedophilia, It wouldn't be creepy knowing her backstory if she regains her real form.

The romance thing is present in many volumes. It's just quite subtle, that's all.

Judging by Kubo Tite's other manga, he's not likely to bring anything more into Bleach.

Ditto. Hopefully, we won't see too much romance in Bleach. Or no romance at all. That would be great. As you can probably tell I'm not a big fan of romances in shounen manga. Especially not in Bleach.

True, and also if you look at most other shounen mangas...the key word being shounen where the primary audience is about 9-16 year old boys they don't explore a lot of adult themes, romance being one of those. Heck, in the anime they haven't even explicitly shown anybody being killed. Which leads be to believe the romance will continue to be subtle much to my disappointment.

i hope there will be a bit of romance. perferably something rukia/ichigo-ish but i doubt there will be much of any. tite just doesn't seem to be into pushing romance in his stories, but on the plus side that often makes the fan community explode into shipping which only helps to popularize the series.

What's wrong with adding a little bit of romance in bleach. I'm not asking for full blown mushiness of a shojou manga (don't get me wrong i love shojou also) but just a hint that there is something going on between the male and female character especially between ichigo and rukia . Orihime on the other hand expressed already that she likes ichigo. Also with hitsugaya and momo, ichimaru gin and matsumoto, i think a hint of love blossoming between these pairs would add spice to the story.

Don't think Gin and Matsumoto should end up together. He seems like the kind of guy that would pretend to like her only to later take advantage of her and she seems naive enough to fall for something like that. Here's the people I hope will end up together:
Yoruichi and Urahara
Uryuu and Nemu
Momo and Hitsugaya
Rukia and Renji
Ichigo and Nel.
I think Orihime should just go off and die. She doesn't do sh*t except for being the damsel in distress.

Rukia doesn't see (hopefully!) Renji in that light, but sth with Ichigo could work out.

I don't want romance necessarily but if some characters hooked up that might be nice. 'Implicit romance' if that makes any sense. Like IRL when some acquaintances start dating and kiss each other good-bye and you can just assume that they're together but nobody talks about it.

I think there does need to be some sort of 'action' (pun attempted) going on behind the scenes, unless we assume that everyone is emotionally stunted. So for character development's sake or something.

No romance cause I saw Zombie Powder's attempt at romance and I knew right then and there Kubo Tite has no sense of romance whatsoever.
