SO any big favourites that you would recommend to me? I'm going on a marathon for these harlequin manga/manhwa... I love them. Slightly cheesy, Predictable, and most of all you have jealousy and love, and sweet romance that has to go through a journey... to get to a happier destination. I really hope that I can be given some nice titles smile ALSO if you want to discuss any harlequin manga i will read it and duke it out with you biggrin maybe we can chat about it all..lol I really like them.

Ahaha, Harlequins are my guilty pleasure. Some of them are terrible, but I still really enjoy reading them for reasons I don't even understand.

My personal favorite is Kako e no Tobira.
Itoshikute Nikui Hito is pretty nice.
Also, Sheikh no Ryakudatsu Ai is incredibly ridiculous, but kind of fun because of that.

smile Glad to know someone else finds these amusing~ most people seem to hate Harlequins pretty passionately, haha. (I know it's been a little bit since the OP, but maybe this will help someone else??)

I would never say this out loud but i do like ... whispers...Harlequin.
They are great to read between those long, heartbreaking manga.
I recommend Mister Millionaire

I had dismissed manga Harlequins, because the originals are, um, just not good. I've actually met several Harlequin authors, and they are all very nice ladies, some of them are very good teachers of writing, but the novels... cry Then I tried a manga version, and maybe because you have pictures to look at, I don't know, but it wasn't that bad. Kind of fun. The hackneyed story didn't seem to matter that much.

I'm going to try this one. The art looks like it's in yaoi style!

Since I always read short stories, I've come across Harlequins many times, but that doesn't mean that I'm fond of all. The reasons are the same as always: way boring female leads, jerky guys, lack of meaning, and so on... however, I can say the next titles were pretty entertaining for me:

Nisenme no Proposal, good storyline
Secretary on Demand, nice lead
Kedakaki Yakusoku, historical setting
Cinderella no Kake, funny
