I don't particularly hate them, I just hate it when the manga I'm reading becomes so saturated with it that I wish for death upon the whole cast

I don't mind them at all. And while reading the thread, I realized that my mom is a tsundere, which is probably why I am not annoyed by them a majority of the time. 8D

It all depends though, any character type that is way too exaggerated is annoying. If they are too moe, annoying. Too evil (without reason), annoying. Too stupid (as in, learn from your past mistakes), annoying. There are plenty of examples of other stereotypical character types blown out of proportion.

I find that all the stereotypical character types are abused in harems. The male is usually always obliviously stupid to all the girls advances, yet always ends up in ecchi situations. There's always the tsundere (that is usually the main girl) who loves the main character, but after x-amount of times watching other women make advances on him because she won't confess or make her feelings know continues to act like a tsundere (never learns a lesson). Then there's always the super duper nice girl who never does wrong and always has big boobs for some reason. The psycho girl, the book girl, the pervert girl, the drunk girl, the list goes on.

To summarize, I don't hate tsunderes.

Hmm, to hate tsundere i'd have to actually care so, no i don't hate them. By the way, i wonder which one is more overused, weakly portrayed, sure sign of a cheap and unoriginal work: passive moe or tsundere...

I find the generalization of every violent person as being tsundere, actually worthy hate. :^D

I HATE tsunderes. The idea is good but no one can do it correctly... I mean, where is the dere part? Acting all "it's not I love you, idiot, stupid, pervert, bakabakabaka!" and blushing is still tsun, at least in my opinion. I really wish that there was a manga where a tsundere girl abuses a dude too much and he becomes depressed or at least withdraws from social life, has issues with girls because he's scared that they'll want to hit him or at the very least is very jumpy. Or, if it's physical violence, he gets beat up, someone sees and reports it and the tsundere has to suffer the consequences. Oh, how I'd love to see that...

No because I don't waste my energy hating on a genre.

It's like what Hayao Miyazaki have said. In order to illustrate beautifully about people, one must be an excellent observer of people. Shounen manga these days are filled with too much stocks character like the tsundere and the yandere. And then in the world of Shoujo their is the princely guy type and the cold silent guy type.

In my opinion, I think anime and manga has lost its individuality in its character. So it's not just tsundere for me.

Aren't all girls tsundere at least thats what most males think, because no is yes, yes is no most of the times... some don't show their real feelings until they have the guy at their feet...

Then again... i dont like that part about girls nor do i like this tsundere thing... unless its for comedy.

Wow, I think everyone is missing the point here.

The reason people tend to hate stories with tsunderes is not because of the girs themselves, but because of the weak and spineless loser protagonists that lets the girls abuse him.
If a guy would stand up for himself no tsundere behaviour would be happening.

Really when you read about the guy getting punched in the face for catching a glimpse of her naked body, do you wish that the girl wouldnt be such a bitch?
Well, In my case I usually wish that the protag wouldnt be such a wussy and wouldnt let the girl behave in such a spoiled way. Although I do tend to skip series like this as soon as I see the main guy is a wimp.

But oh well, what can you expect from japanese mangakas who are usually losers themselves and wouldnt know how to handle a woman to save their lives. Or even worse, they are women themselves and have no idea how a guy would behave in such a situation.

In real life women behave unreasonably quite often, but unfortunately these mangakas have no idea what a real man would do in such a situation.
Which is quite sad, really. I would love to see a good manga where a tsundere girl would be put against a strong and confident guy that knows how to handle a girl and all the usual women quirks like that. Wouldnt it be nice to see such guy as a male lead instead of the usual wimp?

Unfortunately people who know how to handle/treat women don't usually draw mangas. They are usually busy with their successful lives instead.

tsunderes, ugh. especially loli's -- put together their high pitched voices with "bakabakabaka it's not like blah blah" and i'm out

male tsunderes on the other hand... love 'em. well, as long as they don't get physically abusive. that's what yandere is for lol.

I think this is a thread for disliking Tsundere and not disliking weak male leads.

I am not a fan of tsunderes. Most are pretty much generic annoying characters. I hate spineless characters who let tsunderes push them around too. Though my friend says I act like a tsundere but I think I'm more of a thugdere. (jk...)
