I would like to have a guy growing up with a girl in the beggining, but thats only for a few pages
the real story i want is
-high school / middle school

-guy (main charcter/point of view) becomes your avreage joe or lame guy
-girl becomes super popular, good at sports, pretty etc

they fall in love
story continues,
blah blah blah, u get it

nana to kaoru if you dont mind bdsm.

Swweeet, a bit of mindbreak, but still cute.

Eden no Ori, the guy did became popular later on.

If you don't mind some sports involved, most of Adachi Mitsuru works would work; the following being good.

and the artstyle is not for me, but thanks

Pajama na kanojo, but I hear it ends horribly and it's axed. I would like to read a childhood love story too! Are we talking shounen or shoujo?
