Any more suggestions? I just want something with the same feel. Coming of age, slice of life, undiscovered talents. Mix of humor and drama. Believable characters. It doesn't have to be about music.

Livin just to keep from dyin

Since I know duplicate threads are locked, I bumped this one. Manga about music wasn't what I asked for. In this case, I want similar as in a good story, slice of life, with realistic-believable characters, in a coming of age story. And preferably just as good a read as beck.

What they are striving to improve themselves in, or obsessed with, could be music, or sports, cooking, art, killing, pumpkin carving etc...

So if you are gonna link me to threads, link to ones with people looking for slice of life: Seinen, and Shounen recommendations.
