Yeah, I noticed that. But that just makes the fights more interesting 'cause they're basically fighting a clone of themselves. Hope there's a Grimmjow Vs. Hitsugaya fight.

But even when it seems amusing, it displays a lack of creativity by the mangaka.

I guess that a problem is that Bleach has too many characters right now.

I guess they are somewhat similar, though I cant really agree with you stating that Zaraki believes hes the strongest, he just knows hes powerful and he loves to test his power to its limits. Hes more or less looking for people who are his equal to fight. Noitora is just a sadistic freak who also loves fighting, but that pretty much goes hand and hand with the sadism part.

Also thinking about that, Zaraki seems to be much closer to Grimmjow in personality, since they both pretty much love to test and prove their strength (as seen in their rivalries with Ichigo), and neither is really an ass, which Noitora definitely is and Zaraki definitely isnt.

I also never really got a sense of Komamura lacking in the intelligence department, and hes definitely not NEARLY as dumb as Yammy.

I think that to some extent their personalities are similar but I dont think that they are really extremely similar.

Has Komamura ever defeated anyome? And they guy just charges with brute force, he never showed a plan against Kempachi or Aizen and ended pretty much humiliated...the same as Yammy.

I guess when it comes to combat the intellectual capacity of both never really did shine through much, but I think outside of fighting, Yammy just put off what could best be called an aura of nearly pure stupidity, whereas Komamura really didnt, he just kind of put off an aura of sub-par captain (at least after his defeat).

its not as general as you said, but yea they're are some similarities. too be expected really, like somebody just said there are way to many characters in the bleach universe to be truly original(tho they haven't had a crossdresser yet? )

There are some similarities, but at the same time they're completely different too.

Loves fighting:
Zaraki, because he enjoys a good fight and seeks it out.

Nnoitora, because he's a sadist and likes hurting people. He has some ego problems, thinking that he's the strongest.

Grimmjow, he fights to become stronger/the strongest. To prove to the world that he's the "King".

See~, they're similar in that they love to fight, but they all do that for different reasons.

Grimmjow for an example has a huge pride issue, while Zaraki doesn't. He doesn't care if he gets beat or not, as long as he had a good time. Nnoitora also has a pride issue, but only when it comes to women stronger than him.

You have to watch for those little differences.

Yoruichi, out of her own accord, decided to flee with Urahara from Soul Society. Nell just got kicked out of Hueco Mundo. Yoruichi has a loyal female subordinant who's strong, Soifon, and I don't see Nell having any... as of yet. (It could be that Halibel was her fraccion in the past. xD Just a rumor though.)

Yammy is just plain stupid. While Komamura can clearly have intelligent conversations about morals and values. Also Komamura had a horrible past, while Yammy hasn't... well, not that we know as of yet.

Syazel is a sneaky scientist who tries to seek for perfection. Mayuri is a sadistic bastard with no empathy whatsoever, living for science.

... Hitsugaya's personality looks in no way like that of Grimmjow... >.< Only the hair looks alike. Hitsugaya has a sense of justice, and always tries to do the right thing.

And we haven't seen that much of the Old Man, Stark and Halibel. So we can't judge about that. Btw, Halibel looks more like Yoruichi than Nell. Nell is playful, while Halibel is dead serious. Yoruichi has a playful side, but keeps maintaining her serious, (superior?) aura.

Ulquiorra has no feelings whatsoever, even Byakuya shows a tiny bit of feeling now and then.

Rukia was being taken in front of Ichigo. She was scheduled to be executed.

Orihime went out of her own will to Hueco Mundo, where she was to aid Aizen.

Can you see the differences between those two sentences?

There are similarities on big scale, but when you look at the details you see that they're completely different. It did never occured to you that Tite did it on purpose? To create a sense of familiarity with the last arc and still adding new things to it.

Going down this road, you can find similarities in practically any shounen manga with team work.

A good team needs variety, that's why no team consisting only of scientists or only warriors could ever be successful, vide: Naruto, Ga-rei, etc etc.
