Alright, like many anime viewers I finished watching just a little bit of Sword art online and thought. Hmmm, how awesome would it be to develop something along the basic lines of this anime. And like many video game players I went into many forums and posted the suggestion only to be shoot down by the impossibility of the game because virtual reality systems have not advance to the Sword art online's anime's level. However, unlike many discouraged gamers. I went into many of the top brand electronic stores and found to my surprise. Sony has already answered the call with an eyewear that if combined with an MMOG like Sword Art Online would bring the anime experience to many of the viewers excited for the anime. So, I'm starting this thread to see if a project like this is even worth pursuing or if I should just go back to writing light novels and such.

i agree with you on that and i do believe that its worth pursuing. i mean how COOL will it be to play a virtual reality game like in the anime-except that its not a life or death challenge going up floor by floor on a deadly building just to log out, some evil guy can do that in the future when virtual reality is everywhere. But back to the basics, they do have technology now that can achieve the sight and motion of virtual reality but not all of the senses, so i think we should wait till the technology of virtual reality advances then try it, but since that probably wont happen in our lifetime i say give it a go so we can experience 1/2 of it eyes

Now, one can never be one hundred percent certain regarding advances in technology, but I'd say something like SAO won't be seen during this half of the century.
