Okay, so as the title suggests, I'm looking for a manga that pokes fun at either shoujo or shounen cliches. I want a good laugh, so please recommend ones you thought were funny, not just ones that match this requirement. Thanks smile

*Note: Shoujo cliches= typical romantic plot devices, stereotypical magical girl stuff, etc.
Shounen= typical action genre plot devices like power-ups and stuff

Maybe Beelzebub? Dude already starts off strong, and starts off... as a dad! It's not without its cliches, but still. At least it'll prolly make you laugh.

It's seinen, and doesn't really fit your criteria, but you might wanna check out Saint Oniisan for something different.

Skip Beat! can play with clichés because Kyoko rarely has a typical shoujo protagonist's reactions, and several characters are always telling her how she ought to react (if this were a typical shoujo manga). However it plays a lot of the clichés straight too. And you've probably read it already, because at this point I'm not sure anyone into shoujo hasn't read it.

Ouran High School Host Club messes with some clichés also. Tamaki is not your typical love interest. Well, you've probably read/seen this also.

Heroine Shikkaku is an interesting take on a love triangle. The heroine seems to think she's the main character in a shoujo manga, but it's more like she's that other annoying love interest who keeps getting in the way of the official couple and won't go away.

You could also have a rifle through some TVTropes pages. Affectionate Parody may fit the bill, and also works with Genre Savvy characters or characters that like to do some lampshade-hanging may contain a parody element.

Flower of Life pokes fun at yaoi, shojo, and shounen manga cliches.

Patalliro! gets some laughs from parodying classic BL and shojo.

Suashi no Meteorite - makes great fun of shounen cliches
Hoshi no Samidare - there was a bit (but not all that much) of making fun of shounen cliches

Dengeki Daisy - many "standard" shoujo events get trolled into a single panel (ie. valentines)

Allison (or to be more exact the anime Allison to Lillia) - there was this awesome satire of a specific ecchi cliche
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The anime was generally ecchi free. In one scene girl says to a guy that she needs to take a shower. In the next one someone is indeed taking a shower, but you only see legs. Then the camera goes up and stops short of the bottom, then the torso is show and you find out that it's the guy xD

Baketeriya - there was this part were monster appeared and the army came and...
Dragon's Son Changsik - biggrin
The God of High School

Not really shounen action, but they break the fourth wall quite a bit.

Tsuki Tsuki!, Trinity Seven break quite a bit of shounen ecchi cliches, but the catch is they no less ecchi because of that.

Usotsuki Lily makes fun of shoujo cliches actively and they break down the fourth wall so often it's like it was never there.

it's not a manga, i highly recommend Cheese in the Trap subtly pokes fun at typical shoujo cliches (one of the reasons why i read it) and is refreshingly realistic with psychological twists.

Carat! - Easily. This manga literally pokes fun at some of the magical girl shoujo cliches to a tee. <3 (And it's so ridiculous that I did get a good set of chuckles out of it. ^_^ I don't often read humor manga so...yeah....)
