Watched these during the day, and still cringed waiting for shit to go down.

I'm not a big fan of horror movies because I'm a chicken, but the scariest movie I ever saw was Seconds. When I figured out what was going to happen, I had to turn it off, really. Here is a review to give you an idea, but just read the first two or three paragraphs, as you might get spoiled.

They Live My favorite movie by John Carpenter, better known for Halloween, staring pro wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper. It's a parable of consumerism, and still resonates today.

The Host - this is a K-drama, and is terrific, though not as scary as Seconds.

Seconds is a great suggestion, but I'm not sure I'd call it a horror film. If you like that then you might also like The Face of Another, Pitfall, and Woman in the Dunes. Speaking of Face of Another, Eyes Without a Face is a very creepy horror, and the companion documentary on its DVD, Blood of the Beasts, is also amazingly grisly and horrifying.
