I will be spending this Christmas break alone, so I was wondering if you guys have any suggestion of places I can go to to have fun.
I am looking for a warm place that is not very expensive and has friendly people who are willing to party with foreigners (I know this is a gross generalization, but a bit of stereotyping can't hurt).
I will be leaving from Saudi Arabia, but I am willing to travel almost anywhere.

south east asia is always a good bet, nice weather and nice beaches, lots of culture and great food (particularly if you want culinary adventure). thailand, malaysia, indonesia, vietnam. if you want more metropolitan area, there is singapore, and any major cities like kuala lumpur etc.

Hawaii? Everyone there is way friendly, shouldn't be too hard to find some people to party with

I agree with whitespade. South east asia is a pretty nice place, with nice people and the price there tend to be cheaper.

Singapore, Malay, Indonesia is neighboring country, so maybe you could consider to go to those three country at one go. Philippines and Vietnam is quite nice to.

If you want to go to Indonesia, you could consider:
Bali, if you like beach & hindu-based architecture,
Jogjakarta, nice beaches, thousand years old hindu temples, the price are cheap ($20/day is enough to eat, sleep, rent a motor bike) wesite
Manado, if you like scuba diving (Bunaken, one of the best & famous diving place)
Padang, to eat the best rendang.

Queation : When you mention "warm", does it have to be tropical country, or those with subtropical climate is ok too?

I live in Australia and it is boiling during christmas and we have beautiful beaches, it is a bit expensive but if you are after the type of heat that doesn't have a huge amount of humidity, Australia is really good. Also, lots of people go backpacking around the place and it is pretty friendly and laid back.
Some places are really good for theme parks and stuff, but the beach is free and there are amazing snorkelling opportunities just about all around Australia.
