Hi Guys,

I seem to remember reading a manga way back when were the main char has an "airplane" hairdo... or at least that's what I remember it being called. I think it was a delinquent/yankee manga.

For more clues, and "airplane" hairdo is one where the front hair is gelled upwards and forwards... like a pompadour. I remember the manga since it's the first time I heard the term.

Does any of this ring a bell?

Hey, could it possibly be one of NAITO Kenichiro works? The artist behind Crows and QP?

Also, i have a feeling that the hairstyle is called a pompadour (unless the japanese refer to it as airplane). - Takamura from Hajime no Ippo has such a hairstyle ^^

I hope this somehow helps or refers you to some cool new series 😀

I think the OP already said "like a pompadour" so I'm guessing it's not a pompadour, unless by airplane you mean a B-17 guffaw. Although, the only "delinquent" (I hate that word, no one has used it since the 1950's lol) hairstyles I see in manga are blonde hair or the stupid pompadour, as if either is badass or something. Maybe a mo-hawk every now and then. Still stupid (everyone knows it's the reign of the faux-hawk these days lol) There's nothing more badass than a hairstyle that shares it's name with a dog, right?
Anyways, after a sifting through a torrent of pictures (by that, I mean the first image on a Google image search of "airplane hair") I found this:

I know, so sexy, right? Are you sure you didn't mean this?
And yes, I love parentheses. And being a dick. And posting unhelpful posts. It's my thing.
