It is a cliche to kill everyone off at the end. I wish Kishimoto had kill some people that we came to know sometimes during the duration of the war before this final confrontation. If he execute this well, then I don't mind. It kinda late but at least I like where this is going. I actually feel the risk now which is good.

A whole bunch of characters will die at once in the next few chapters. The problem with that is it gave the readers no breathing room and lessen the impact of each deaths. But yeah, Kishimoto could pull it off (like Wolf's rain, I supposed).

It is cliche to call something cliche...it is beyond that; it's trite. Come on, we've over-used that word so much that it has no meaning now. If Kishimoto kept everyone alive (as in Bleach), then you probably would've scolded him cliche too.

In any case I like the pace of the death in the latest chapter. They weren't terribly important characters, and the way they simply and humbly accepted it in the face of their greater mission, made it all the more meaningful. I probably would've been very turned off if he gave me another five chapters on all those people. There've been enough main characters in the manga, now.

Sasuke...merge the Eight Tails and the Nine Tails? Naruto might summon the frogs. Sasuke and Itachi...where are they. Something is about to happen.

Did you read the rest of my post? I said unless he pull it off well like Wolf's rain.
I think it is popular nowadays to attack others for no reason.
If you read my criticism fully, it was a fairly positive for this chapter.

So to conclude it is cliche to attack someone who criticize that something may end up cliche.
And that isn't cliche.

1: Itachi is gone, along with all the other resurrected enemies except Madara. Sasuke is with Orochimaru right now.

2: Merging the eight and ninetales is an interesting thought, since tailed beasts two through seven have all given naruto some of their power. When he regains the ability to use jinchuuriki abilities, he may not be the kyuubi anymore. It should be noted, though, that this will not make logical sense at all, because the one tail and the eight tail didn't give him any power, and now the Shikaku can't give him any, since it's part of the jyuubi.

hmmm Kishimoto, I think, has more creativity than that. I really wished they taking down Madara in some really smart way instead of power trump power.

not from the history of this manga, its always power that wins unless shikamaru is involved and even then it relies on power after all the strategy. Its going to be huge power up finish for everything, then a romance tragedy ending for sasuke and naruto on the same spot they fought at the end of part 1(ugh).

oh and a piece of that fight reminded me of Konjiki no Gash with the Faudo fight,
