i'm kinda sick of how that MC is always lame and confesses to super popular person etc, etc,
i want that MC to be super cool and stuff and that he gets confessed to by lame girl/boy and they date

If you want average or lame heroine and cool boy read shoujo instead, pretty much most of them gear that way. Some Shounen have cool MC's but are rare since they try to appeal to the majority of readers that are more likey to be average themselves. Example Hagure Yuusha no Estetica has a cool MC (no ugly girl tho) but the MC gets plenty of hate on forums for being so hence low popularitly low sales. Boys Be come close since they call the MC's girl Yeti for being tall (not really ugly) but for shonen thats the best I got.

Jellyfish Princess is a little bit like that, only the MC is the lame character. But the super cool character is the one pursuing her, so maybe that's a little bit of what you want.

Only one I think of is B Gata H Kei, which is about a beautiful, popular and smart girl who chooses an average guy.
