Hi guys, I just remembered this manga that I read a while back that had characters based on Alice in Wonderland. I seem to remember it having quite a heavy atmosphere, like the characters were waiting for something or bored...I can only remember the one scene where Alice is talking to the march hare, who in this manga is a watch/clock maker/repairer and has his own workshop/shop. I seem to remember the hare was either in shadow or was wearing a black mask or something like that. Something about his face was out of the ordinary (I mean more than usual for a guy with a rabbit head LOL.) I also have some notion in my mind that Alice only knew two people/there were only two other people and that was the hare and another guy that wore a suit, had short dark hair and was either hatter or the cheshire cat or someone. Though I may have got that wrong.

The main things I remember:
-Alice character
-March hare character (has a mask?)
-Hare is a clock repairer
-Conversation in hare's workshop with hare and Alice
-Alice seems bored/anxious or something
-Theres another male character in it based on an Alice in Wonderland character
-Strange/heavy atmosphere

I checked the Alice in Wonderland tag but none of them rang any bells...it may have been a oneshot cos I dont remember reading much of it...Sorry its not much to go on~

Heart no Kuni no Alice perhaps? Might be pushing it, because this manga is only half of the description you mention. Far as I know, there is a watch maker, but it's not the hare. I also don't recall the mask. Sorry if this isn't it- after all, this is the only Alice in Wonderland manga I actually read XD.

I don't really remember anything from it, but the first thing I thought about was an anime adaption of the Pandora Hearts. Could it be that?

No its definately not Pandora hearts, and I thought it was heart no kuni no Alice at first as well but I read a bit of it last night and its not that either...in the manga Im looking for the watch maker definately had a bunny face, not just the ears but a proper bunny head....Its not shiro ari either, read a bit and the style and ambient is all wrong...

If I remember rightly, the one Im looking for had a style which was leaning towards sienen with the backgrounds and the bunny but Alice and the other character were styled more like [url]hearts no kuni no Alice[/url] or those god-awful oneshots (I wouldn't usually mention them but the boy just so happens to have a similar style to the male character in the manga so I'll begrudgingly mention them) [url]Holy night.[/url]

Also the bunny was (if thats even possible) even more solemn and distinguished than the watchmaker in heart no kuni no Alice... It may even have had a monocle.....maybe Im just imagining it....

Are you sure it's not Heart no Kuni Alice? because that has a clockwork guy in it and quite a few male characters based on alice in wonderland characters

Ok, I went through the spin offs of heart no kuni no alice and the beginning of clover no kuni no alice:heart no kishi is most similar to what I read in the past. I'm not 100% sure its that because the one I read in the past felt more awkward and I swear it was a bunny XD, but its the closest I've come so far. If anyone still has suggestions I'm open, otherwise I'll accept it was probably that one I read. Thank you for all your suggestions, and helping me reach this (probable) conclusion XD
