A manga where the main lead unlocks or finds a power and does not have to be slapped and beat up along the way to get stronger some examples are Taboo tattoo must be absolutely different from this. this guy is slapped around constantly and gets pulled into things by the girl and he doesn't kill because one of the girls tells him to stop i want a lead that gets stronger constantly and is not afraid to kill or let someone know how powerful they are. with the ability to tell the organization trying to get him for his power to fuck off if nessacary

Berserk Guts is already insanely strong to begin with. Then he gets some armor that makes him stronger. Ofcourse it don't mean shit since at times he's fighting literal gods and chaos being from another dimension.
GUNNM: Last Order why this and not the first one. because in this one Alita has no real choice but to keep getting stronger and stronger. Mind you, I would also recommend you read Gunnm just because it is pretty much a classic.
Kurohime atleast until she gets cursed, and loses most of her power. She spends most of the series trying to get back to her all powerful status
