What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

Suggestion 12

How do you feel when a mangaka draws the same characters (lookwise) for all of their mangas?

- Kind of spoils it for me. (Ex. a love triangle romance. You know who would win at the end because the person always looks the same)
- A bit confusing (Feels like sequel or odd spin off)
- Annoying/ gets boring seeing the same character
- Indifferent
- Ruins the first series I read from the mangaka.


(I'm out of other options, but I feel like there could be more ...)

- Yup, all the time.
- Sometimes.
- Once or twice.
- But... they are my friends.
- ...That's creepy.
- Nope.
- Sure, I tell stories about them, but I let people know it's a manga character.

Don't remember if this has been suggested/made but here it goes.

The theory says shoujo is for girls, shounen for boys, seinen for men and josei for women. I've been curious as to what extent this is true, regarding these major demographics.

Based on gender, what is your favorite demographic?
-I'm male and I prefer Shoujo.
-I'm male and I prefer Shounen.
-I'm male and I prefer Seinen.
-I'm male and I prever Josei.
-I'm female and I prefer Shoujo.
-I'm female and I prefer Shounen.
-I'm female and I prefer Seinen.

Oh that one is good and better then my simpler favorite demographic question out of the big 4. I have a related idea for way later as we are all burned out out on demographic talk it seems:

Do you understand or even approve of the way japanese publisher handle demographics?
-Yes
-No
-There is a clear system?

And the classic:

Do you feel remorse for consuming pirated content?

-Yes
-No
-If you like it you buy it
